Given it was about 50 years since the last new pitch was fitted at Headingley I would say the grass has a long life - I would assume the club will depreciate along the lines of any similar capital project i.e. 25 years at least.

Having customers in a number of countries doesn't make you a global business - global business suggests offices/factories in a host of countries. I suspect you have agents - although I don't know. If you do business in 36 countries and have a T/O of 15m that is <500k in each on an even spread. I could be wrong but if the 80/20 rule applies it suggest 12m of your sales comes from 8 countries?

What will hit Leeds in 2014 will be the loss of season ticket sales and corporate revenues - 1,000 less season tickets will be close to 200k

Unless you can quote how many of those in attendance at each game paid cash through the turnstiles, attendance stats are meaningless when calculating income.

It's Gareth's usual way of deviating from being wrong. He originally stated that nobody who posts on here would be qualified to advise on the running of a 10m turnover business.

When in fact two have posted since, and I bet there is another 3 or 4 posters on the Leeds board, who could equally state that at least. Across rugby league fans, probably another 50/60.

Hetherington was on the radio in February saying that turnover this year would be up as they had "grown the business". He may well have meant underlying recurring turnover with the bonus of final appearances being measured one way or another on top of that. Obviously not having the same success this year will cost, but I wouldn't be too concerned that the business is going to fall over because of it.

Seems to be a number of defensive responses on this thread. I haven't indicated anywhere that the club is in desperate financial ill-health or is about to fall over as a consequence of the 2013 huge fail on the pitch. I asked how much the club stands to lose in income as a consequence.

It was a query about loss of income on the back of not reaching the GF, the CC Final and no WCC in 2014... nothing more, nothing less.

I'm guessing at around half a million in income which, if true, would equate to a loss of 2,500 season ticket holders (assuming an average season ticket price of £200).

£500,000 does sound a lot for missing out on both finals, saying that I have no idea what revenue is offered in TV rights to the finalists.

Don't forget the loss of income from the WCC! That's gotta be an earner.

I think it will be nearer £500k per final, depending on how you believe Hetherington PR spin.

He did comment in 2011 that we had a million of revenue from the two finals. The main source is the extra shirts and souvenirs.
