| IMO it is a terrible effort by Leeds fans. I could understand if it we were playing a smaller club. I can understand not many non-season ticket holders attending. But only 30% of season ticket holders have bought tickets. 30% is terrible!!! But when it comes to the next home gave and there are 15,000 there and the rest of the season ticket holders come back as if they are hardcore fans but won't spend £20 to watch them in the cup against Wigan. It’s got to be the money that puts people off because there were nearly 4000 who travelled AWAY to Hull. So the majority of season ticket holders were happy to spend on transport to get to Hull and back but not on a ticket for a home game. Rant over. Cmon Leeds lets get to Wembley

| from the OS
The capacity at the rugby stadium has been halved for this Saturday’s game to just 10,000 for public safety issues with Yorkshire CCC also playing in the cricket stadium at the same time. However, with 3,000 tickets still unsold for the game there is a danger that Rhinos fans could be out numbered by Wigan supporters on their own patch.

I don't think so - Saints have won the cup and made the GF in the same season three times in the last 4 years, could have been 4 in a row but for a poor semi-final performance against Hudds last year.
There may be an argument that it hinders you winning the GF, but I don't buy into that either - it just seems to be a convenient argument for Leeds fans to trot out to mask their under-achievement in the cup. I'm happy to back down if someone can prove to me the direct link between Meli's gaffes and us playing at Wembley . . . .

IIRC it's been an equally convenient one for some saints fans to trot out to explain their underachievement in more than one GF

I genuinely don't remember anyone ever using that as an excuse.
If they did they were drownded out by the louder rain/Meli/offside/Potter excuses

| I know 8 of the 11 regulars I stand with are away with it been bank holiday weekend or school hols. I also know a few who have been put off by reduced capacity and a few who are watching the pennies In tough times and are just gonna see it on the beeb? It's 70 sheets for tickets plus drinks and food so add at least 50 quid to that! So £120 for an afternoon out for my mate, his wife and 2 kids is just not a gower right now. Other people maybe similar at the moment?

a very blinkered view in my opinion! obviously you dont have a family to provide for or you have little or no thought for those who do.
or for those who had something booked in for may day 6 months ago?
I have a season ticket al be there, but I'm not gonna dis people who wanna stay at home and watch it. Why should anyone have to justify to you or anyone else what they spend their money on or where they spend it?
Come on Leeds!

I would have to agree, we made both in 2005
Bradford won both in 2003
You made both 3 times
There is 0 evidence to suggest it hinders a run to the GF, if certain fans want to
play down the cup then that's there prerogative, for me the cup is as important as the GF, we've been poor in the cup for years and I would probably want it more than a GF win this year.

| I'll be there - ultimately that's all I care about.
I see the CC as a desirable and (recently) elusive trophy that I'd love us to win - but i'd never pick it over the GF. Winning 4 in a row has got to be the number 1 aim for this season, anything else would be a very nice bonus!

You went full time pro a number of years before we did. But anyway, that is hardly the point is it? At best we were the only two. The rest of the league were part time. there was no cap.
Our titles were won in an era when EVERY team is full time and EVERY team operates within the cap. Well, some teams breach the cap but that is a whole other discussion.

Nothing lazy or in fact wrong in been an armchair supporter. In fact there’s so many of us Rugby League is probably the second most broadcasted sport on sky. We certainly get more airtime than rugby union.
This sky money comes from viewing figures.

I'm not convinced. I should have written think, not know. It arguably makes it harder to get there, especially if you take the long route which we may have to this year. But on the day, it shouldn't have an effect.

I think you have totally been sucked in by bilko ! Come kick off we will have 10 thousand in there
as has been pointed out, this obsession with numbers is common of those clubs fans who have little success, both hulls clubs go on about it more than ever add a few more clubs to that. if a lot of Leeds fans are staying away coz they think we might get beat cos we have been very poor at times this year then if that whats they think fair enough. if they have a season ticket and don't want to pay for more games fair enough, if people would rather just turn up at a final fair enough! just because some of us go more than others doesn't mean dick in realitiy. if other teams fans think Leeds fans are glory supporters or are not as die hard, or don't have their colours nailed to the mast like the pies or hull fckr do then to be honest I couldnt give a flying fook! if they spend their time thinking about people not going to Leeds games then they need to get a life.

Seriously are you gonna lose sleep over it?
I will be there but tbh i couldn't give a flying one who does or doesn't attend the game, like wilko points out people will have other plans or simply can't afford it.
The fact that 70% of season ticket holders are yet to buy a ticket is irrelevant as the same criteria applys to them re-other plans.

couldn't agree more damo! This is my last full season as a regular home and away supporter! i love my team through and through but I love my family more and I'm doing what's best for them. | I'm not going to loose sleep just only giving my opinion. I understand you saying your not bothered about how many people are there which is fine - Don't post if you don't give a foook. I'm giving my opinion about this after a thread was started. I don't post on here often and responses like this are the main reason why.

I’m not standard setting. Some people on here will just defend the club no matter what. I’m not claiming I’m a better fan or anything like that. Can’t you see that the amount of tickets for we have sold for this game is embarrassing.
