I've missed most of tonight's game (thank god) only caught the last ten minutes or so. Has anyone in a Leeds shirt come out of this game with some credit? Think particularly young Baldwinson who it's nice to see back on the bench.
The interesting thing is obviously what happens next. How do Leeds respond going forward, considering even in good years we tended to have one shambolic performance a year. (Maybe not this bad, but thinking of the Sts red hair game).

Tigers Demolish the Rhinos The Leeds Rhinos travelled to Castleford Tigers as underdogs, a rare occurrence in recent games between these two near neighbours. With two big wins in their opening two fixtures people were already talking about the home side as title contenders, but a win tonight was crucial for local bragging rights.
Rangi Chase was the only change for Castleford as he is serving a one week club suspension for an 'off the field incident'. Amongst a long list of Rhinos players unavailable for selection Rob Burrow was ruled out earlier today with stomach bug meaning coach McDermott would bring Jordan Lilley back from his Bradford Bulls loan as cover.
Few people would have predicted what was about to unfold.

Parcell did some decent things that his teammates didn't take advantage of. Moon kept competing but only so much you can do without support.
One of our kickoffs was pretty good. |

In some ways i think we got away with it a touch there.Cas could have got 80 plus if they didn't take their foot off the gas mid second half.

Thought Lilley showed up a few older players with his mental toughness. Doesnt stop trying, doesnt get downhearted, doesnt stop running, never gives up.
Too many at leeds at the moment with all the skill in the world who take ten steps back when the going gets tough, Lilley might not be there skill wise yet, but he thinks like a champion.

On a playing front, Delaney and Walters need to go, McGuire should retire at the end of the year. Lilley should be starting in the halves, Singleton hasn't developed physically in years, he's nowhere near big enough to be the pack leader the coaching staff seem to be expecting from him. Ad for Watkins, he's needs a rocket the size of Apollo 13 up his 'arris. I'd be very tempted to play Briscoe or Sutcombe there next week

I thought Singo ran his nadgers off mate tbf albeit in a pack easily destroyed.
Also thought Moon had a dig but again we were easily destroyed i agree re-Watkins whether he wants to leave or not i don't know but his heart isn't in that shirt at the moment. |
