I don’t know what to think in this one, he’s got talent but not sure he’s taken his chances for whatever reason, defensively he’s been all over the shop but he’s not aline in that regard.

Seems he wanted a salary increase and were not prepared to meet the demands

This personally doesn’t bother me. Edwards, Simpson, Tindall, Walker, Myler, Hardaker, Newman, Sutcliffe, Handley, Fusitua all cover positions that he’s capable of playing

Do you reckon Hardaker will stay? I do, whatever his off field stuff he’s a quality player.

Performer for Wigan. Good defender still and covers anywhere in back line. I’d like to see if still has much to offer at FB before we decide.

Not making any judgements on him but we were not happy to see him leave, Cas were dissapointed when he left there and Wigan seem indifferent. Has to tell some of the story

Personally i don't think Broadbent is quite good enough but he is still young and can be improved with good coaching which is ideally why it'd be nice to keep him, however, the salary cap means we can't keep all and we need to spend a few quid soon.. and as per the above, i think we have some other good young players coming through in his position and plenty of cover with Sutcliffe plus Zak.

Sky mention Brad Dwyer to St Helens next year, I for one would be disappointed with this, but it wouldn’t be a surprise

It is an interesting one but Lussick will start with Dwyer to come off the bench and run which is his strength.

From our off contract players I’d want to keep Martin and Dwyer.

The problem with keeping Dwyer is it could hinder Corey Johnsons progression.

I know what you are saying but IF Johnson is good enough and I don’t think we have seen any real evidence to support that yet he will push ahead of Dwyer.

He looks to have a much better passing game but these days IMO hookers also need to have a real running threat or be defensive machines or ideally both. He’s got smarts but not seen any evidence he has a running game or tough defence.

Dwyer hasn’t really got any of those qualities either though, well i suppose he’s got a running threat but does it make up for his inability to pass from DH? Which imo is the most important part of a hookers game.

I think he’s a good running threat, but agree his passing is dodgy and can miss a bit in D but as an impact sub 9 for my money he is the best player we bring off the bench. He plays with a lot of passion.

Briscoe, Thompson and Mellor would be out of the door before Dwyer for me.
Maybe they all go and more, be interesting to see what happens in the round with players in and out.
Will Austin stay? Will Zak stay? Will Prior retire ? Will Muizz be let go? Who can we get to fill the gaps? Can we replace say 6 in one winter or run a smaller squad and go for more quality?

I think all 4 will be gone. I don’t dislike Dwyer and can see his positive points, but we need to start moving the squad on IMO

Id Keep Austin but also try get another halfback in aswell or start giving Sinfield more gametime next year.

I’d definitely keep Dwyer as an impact hooker. Controversial but I’d let Leeming go and Look to recruit a new 9. I don’t think Johnson will end up being good enough sadly, but I’d like to be proved wrong. A James Segayaro type of player would revolutionise this team……

Leeming’s on a long deal though Shabba, he’s going nowhere. Think he may be better again like last year without the captaincy next season.

I wonder if the broadbent situation has anything to do with how well edwards seems to have gone at York too. As they say, you can’t keep them all.

Don't think keeping austin and signing anotber half would be good use of the cap. He's not been consistently good enough and takes up a valuable cap spot to just be 3rd half or utility.

I don’t mind Austin going but he’d have to be replaced, with who though?

No idea but along with prop I hope they're not waiting around to get on with that one.
