Bit harsh imo TS he put himself about defensively 2nd half imo,admittedly he did'nt have the impact he's had previously and was outshone by others but i think uninterested is a bit ott.

It's only my opinion and I haven't been one of the Eastwood witch members since he asked to leave, maybe he was rushed back too early, IMO he didn't look comfortable running and we carried him for plenty of attacking sets.

I understand that some fans might be a bit miffed at him being 'homesick', but this post is seems somewhat reactionary. Eastwood is a successful international forward who has already shown that he is a potential gamebreaker at Leeds. I accept that Ablett has come on a lot in recent years and is an important forward for Leeds but he's still got some way to go before he even gets selected for England (let alone be good enough to be picked for NZ).

Granted, Eastwood did not have one of his best games against Saints but the guy had just made an early comeback from injury - he's hardly likely to be putting it about in the same way as he did before the injury, especially if he's not fully fit!

I don't know the ins and outs of the situation, but given that no NRL club are likely to want to pay out the full fee demanded by Leeds for Eastwood's services, isn't there a chance that Eastwood may stay at Leeds? Especially if the 'homesick' line is just that, a convenient excuse for him to re-join the Bulldogs?

Glad to see Eastwood back. I take on board the comments about him being a passenger on Saturday but as a first game back (and rushed back to boot) I can see there being more to come before the season's end.

Not reactionary mate "on form" Ablett gets in imo and Ali is a must if fit and there's no way Clarkson deserves to miss out imo.
I concur how good Eastwood is/can be but Ablett gets the vote imo can do longer minutes ,more moble and also offers outside back cover.

I thought Eastwood looked a bit injured still on Saturday. Maybe he wasn't committed 100% for this very reason.

On another note, ok we are losing him but how about geeing him up eh? Lets set him a challenge. he has come for one season, so in one season if he could get a challenge cup winners medal and a grand final ring that would be one good single year of play!!!

I somehow fear Clarkson will lose his place albeit not on form but the reputation of the others

It just remains to be seen if Ali gets in at the expense of Burgess or possibly Diskin.

Id go with a fully fit Eastwood over Clarkeson but not the Eastwood we saw Saturday. Made some poor decisions, 1 cost me £15



Ablett is our 1st choice SR everytime IMO with JJB 2nd.

Leeds should find it difficult to drop Clarkson at the minute, unless or until his form warrants it, which for now is difinitely not the case.

That's the key mate i don't think he is fit and like tvoc says there's no way Clarkson warrants been dropped.

I know what you mean about Clarkson, considering it's his first season he's doing remarkably well, he'll develop into an excellent player.. but I do think his defence close to the line needs some work, he's a little light - but it's only natural considering he's a rookie..
