Not at all and i agree with that 2nd statement an absolute legend mate and the best centre i've ever seen in Blue 'n' Amber.
I do however believe that age has caught up with the bald destroyer especially defensively.
Complete Leeds legend and maybe if Watkins had stayed fit he could of been rested at times he looked like he needed it.

| I think those stats reinforce how much of an off day it was for Jammer. 108 metres is shocking for him, probably one of the lowest totals ever.
I'm not convinced he wasn't playing injured. Although Leeds did target him, his failure to get back the 10 was happening from the first set.

That's the official story. Between you nad me, the truth is that I've been under deep cover trying to infiltrate the St Helens forum, where M believes the moderators are in fact agents of the oppressive North Korean regime, trying to introduce totalitarian rule in Merseyside.
Turned out in the end they were just a bit twitchy. True story.

Thanks for the welcome, but thanks for nothing else Lionel Hutz.
I got on famously with my cell mate though, he particularly enjoyed shower time.

I think it's neither a miss nor a tackle...I think that's the same as the tackle on cunningham - if he scores a try surely it should be a miss or a tackle. Trouble is technically the tackle is complete (for the purposes of grounding, double movement etc) so maybe the tackle is credited
Quote ="El Diablo"You can prove anything with statistics. 77% of people know that. '"
Cunningham's stats for Saturday show how meaningless stats are without seeing the game.

| IIRC Leuluai's lazy inside defence cost us one of the tries in the first half as well. He certainly was well behind Bailey and Peacock.

| RB hasn't visited Red Hall 22 times in the last 3 years at all. He just was cited for a possible offence and was cleared 14 of those times.
Oh and Mr Clarke - Its Danny McGuire, not Maguire.

There's a few suspects, but I think I may know who that is?
Why would anyone want to ask Clarke a question? Beyond me.

| Just got this publication. Later tonight I might publish the full stats but of great interest were Buderus' stats.
Massive impact defensively but aside from his run for Webb's try very little going forward. Only two more runs than Diskin in double the game time. No disparaging Buderus display but offering some balance to people who, at the beginning of the week, were claiming he was the major influence on the outcome.

In reality it was the one break that made people open their eyes. His was a lively display and he certainly worried us around the ruck. But a lot of our defending was stretched throughout, McGuire in particular looked like to go through every time he touched the ball. A strange game all round IMO, two sides struggling with poor organisation and decision making.

This is the trap that the uneducated Rugby league fan often falls into. They see the break, that pass and the go ahead try and that, to them, equals Buderus being the major influence on the game.
Taking nothing away from the break BUT an astute observer of the game, like my good self, will have noted the fantastic drive and play the ball from Senior that was so dominant it took Roby, Hargreaves and Graham out of the game as all three were off-side at the ruck. It was these three that Buderus waltzed past before giving Webb that sublime pass.
Also, not many will have noticed that Senior had taken two drives out of three from dummy half in the set where he gave McGuire the juggle try. Like the Webb try, this one came about because firstly Senior got dominant when tackled, then Burrow took the ball up at speed and played the ball before Saints defenders were set leaving Senior to take another drive at space before freeing up McGuire.
Buderus was superb but in terms of influence on the game he ranked well behind McGuire and Senior and probably behind Webb, Bailey and Peacock.
And herein lies my Buderus bugbear. It's not with Buderus himself or his play. It's with the fawning OTT praise that is very often undeservedly heaped upon him by our fans.

| The biggest difference between Buderus and Diskin for me is Buderus seems to be able to play the game at a much higher intensity than Diskin. Buderus reads the game very well and seems to know exactaly when to run and when to pass, where as Diskin seems unsure at times and sometimes ends up running down a blind ally. Diskin has been a great servant to Leeds and should go down as a legend of the club, but he's never been able to regain that extra sharpness he lost after his knee injury in 2004. He's still a very good player, but Buderus is just that level above in pretty much every aspect of his ability.

Do we know if they counted that one? But a little harsh on Clarkson none the less. You would have to define what is a tackle as many flops are also counted as tackles.

Fair comment on both players. Also a fit Buderus can have huge influence without making the metres with quick distribution and knowing when to go. Sure there were some excellent hard yards put in before the Web try but his decisive run and timing was a major turning point in the game and his defence was outstanding as he regularly brought the big fellas to ground. If he keeps his fitness he will prove a major influence on our future success .

As good as it was to see the bald destroyer roll back the clock mate he's been in steady decline especially defensively this year ,that's not a witch hunt just what we've all witnessed.
Now i would love nothing more for than the big fella continuing this form until the end of the season and carrying it on next year but i hope with a fully fit squad he'll be rested and the Watkins to get plenty of game-time.
