| Corey Johnson had a tremendous game last night. Broadbent switched to left centre and looked more comfortable taking both his tries brilliantly.
Defence in the 1st half especially was very strong. Overall a good win with a less than full strength team.

Corey was trying to prove something to a lot of his mates, and succeeded. Thought Chapman Smith was great last night, but do have a bit of a soft spot on him, shame the injuries have blighted his career, as he could have been a star.

Spoke with Tommy last night. He has had a hamstring strain and expects to be back at Wigan on Tuesday.

It's still a far higher standard than the u19s.

| Newmans scored 13 trys in 10 games for fev now, he dosnt turn 19 until febuary, very, very impressive. His second last night was a cracker by all accounts. Dakota whylie also got a try last night. Whylie had a very good game for fev when they were the first team to win in Toronto recently.

If he turns 19 in February does that mean he’s still eligible for the U19’s next season?

| 19s lost 24-0 at Wigan last in a very physical game with big forwards on both sides.
Tommy Holroyd suffered a knee injury in his 1st game back which is a concern but he was walking on it at the end.
Leeds was very one out and for last 15 mins reverted to chip kicks which none came off.
Alex Sutcliffe was outstanding in defence and Jack Broadbent a real handful in attack but the halves aren't good enough in 19s unfortunately.
Fair play to Wigan they was the better team on the night.

| I watched the game on Wigan TV and I thought it was pretty even but the Wigan halves were much better and in the end that was the difference.
Holroyd's knee was already heavily strapped, he made one strong hit up and burst through the first line of defence but limped off straight after that.

| The scoreline didn't really represent the game, it was tough and uncompromising, two late tries from Havard and Kibula clinched it. for Wigan.
I thought the Leeds fullback was your standout player.
Both sides defended really well though.

Just by way of comparison, we had Thomas Minns at Fev on a year's loan from you when he was 20-21 and he wasn't anything like the threat Newman already is at 18.

Jack Broadbent looks to have the skills and a fair turn of speed too with nice angled runs.

| He's a good centre Juan. Probably lacks out and out speed but a very talented player. Newman has the speed and footwork but probably isn't as good a centre as Broadbent. Combine the 2 and you've a world beater. Two very good young players though who are still developing.

Featherstone have announced the signing of Kiedan Hartley for the 2019 season. Suspect this and the Whylie signings are underpinned by an agreement that if they progress significantly Leeds will have the option to re-sign them. Fev fans were told at a fans' forum that that was always the case with Luke Briscoe, though it doesn't appear reading through this thread as if Kiedan was one of the standouts from the Rhinos' U19s, whilst from what I've seen Dakota Whylie (though he has played well for Fev) doesn't have the obvious promise of being a future SL talent as Harry Newman.

| Kiedan is very quick and has great footwork but isn't the biggest lad. He has talent and should do ok at Championship level if his attitude is good.
