I don't know what he has fully heard, but I would guess that there is a player swap deal to announce as part of this announcement also. And a damn good player to come in, if not the same position.

We may have different definitions of 'shock'. TBH I don't see a story of Watkins, or Hardaker, or McDermott leaving Leeds as being genuinely 'shocking to the whole of SL'

The only two things that would qualify as that would be signing Hayne or GH quitting, both of which are approximately 0.0001% chances of happening.

My guess is McDermott going and Wayne Bennett coming in, to combine with the England Role.

The only same position swap that would be a shock would be Hardaker & Tomkins. Anything else wouldn't really be a shock to the whole of SL unless I'm underselling Widnes and HKR fans interest in who sign/sell.

I don't think it is so "in the know", nobody knows everything. The game is a community sport, and therefore the community are with these players and officials daily, and things do come out, long before official and that happens often.

For instance, yesterday I posted that two other players other than Baldwinson had also asked to be released from their contract. I know that as fact, as straight from players mouth. I also know as fact that the request initially was end of season, and since changed to sooner, and that Leeds turned down the requests. Hence why I refused to name the players, as talks were still ongoing, with the club trying to persuade otherwise.

I have since heard third hand, not fact, and therefore not really "in the know" that the club have now agreed to release, on the basis of a player they want to bring in. As one of the clubs after our player, also have a player Leeds want, they want our player to go there and arrange a swap. This though is third hand. And I guess this is what Frosties has also heard.

Putting things third hand, or indeed factual never really goes down well on hear, so I can understand the reluctance to name names.

Let me repeat though, the only factual I know is the two players asking to be released from contract.

just say what it is for christs sake! Jeez its only a bloody forum, if you get it wrong you won't be fined heavily or sacked from your jobs
