| This is a huge loss given the games we have coming up, Given the amount of time he's going to be out I'd give Robbie Ward a go against Cas.

Or Sutcliffe in the halves and Sinfield to hooker would be a far easier switch. Sinfield played most of the game today at DH anyway.

| Probable - BJB to 1, Hardaker to 3, Moon to 6, Sinfield to 9.
I hope that Robbie Ward gets a chance, he deserves it.

I would say give the lad a chance normally but we have a real test of fixtures coming up so will be a tough baptism.would go with ward on the bench, sinfield starting hooker and sutcliffe stand off.

| How long is Stevie Ward out for?
Sinfield - 9
McGuire and Sutcliffe in the halves seems the obvious solution and maybe use BJB from the bench.

Sir kev to 9 is the answer how they sort the rest of the team is another question. This weeks training is going to be very important, so every player knows their role, it's the goons at home nxt week so we need to be sorted postion wise. Sutty to stand off is the obvious change, that's his position he did it today and for large parts of last season. I've not seem anything of Robbie Ward so I can't comment but if he is as good as some say give him a chance now, We are without a first choice hooker for the nxt 8 wks at least so BMD has got some thinking to do!!!!
God help us all!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Sinfield to hooker is nailed on I think watching todays performance with him spending so much time there pre-Burrow injury. (Can't see Robbie Ward getting picked against the opposition we have lined up over the next month or so.)
At least we have options
A, Sutcliffe in the halves
B, Hardaker to 6 with BJB to FB
C, Moon to 6 with Hardaker/BJB to centre
Personally think it'll be A but to have 2 hookers out and have three good options to cover is quite good.

Losing Burrow for so long is a HUGE blow. He's such a tough cookie and the way he bounces off the big guys (everybody else on the field in every game of course ) never ceases to amaze me. Who else could still continue forward motion by doing a forward roll?
When was the last time he was out for such a long period? When was he out injured for any match? I tend to think of him as a permanent fixture.....
I agree Sinfield is nailed on as starting hooker. Personally I would not move Hardaker from the FB position ...he is far too important there for me.
Moon to SO for me, with BJB taking the centre berth.
Failing that Sutcliffe or Ward at SO for an extended period would be nice.
Suffice to say after Wigan and Cas I would like to see Robbie Ward at last on the bench.....

After that it's Wigan again lol
Can't think of many with Burrow, did he miss a couple with a cheekbone injury around the time we signed Lunt on loan, certainly no 10-12 weeks spring to mind.
I'd be loathed too to move Hardaker too. People may argue that Saints weren't at their best today but surely Hardaker is above Lomax, the first try showed that in both offence and defence strength.
Can't see BJB playing in the centres if he wasn't given the gig there previously so the Moon one isn't as likely IMO.

| Gutted for the little magician. I argue with friends at work or in the pub regarding Burrow being the one player I would take to Warrington from any SL team if allowed.
Was a great effort today from Leeds and if we manage to get past Doncaster tomorrow I want to avoid you big time.

| Sinfield to hooker for 80 minutes potentially puts the kicking game into the hands of McGuire, Sutcliffe and Hardaker. Scary proposition.
Wigan have been brave enough to blood young players when injuries have struck. Leeds need to do the same with Robbie Ward IMO.

| Personally I'd go with Sinfield at hooker and McGuire & Sutcliffe in the halves. I think it's the best option until Aiton returns rather than trying to shoe-horn BJB into the team. I think Hardaker showed again today that he's very important to the team at full back and I'd rather not disrupt that unless absolutely necessary.
I realise Sutcliffe is young and inexperienced but with Sinfield & McGuire alongside him he's not being thrown in on his own to take on the major halfback duties and it's an opportunity to give a promising youth player a lot of game time in his proper position.

Not really, he played there a lot today, just need the other three to step in on tackle 5 at dummy half.

| Whilst it is tempting to move players around to cope with Burrow out for a number of weeks.
I feel we should move Robbie Ward to hooker and keep the rest in their current place.
If we were to move players I would like to see Moon at SO with Briscoe to centre BJB on the wing.
Doubt that would happen.
Just a thought but what about McGuire to hooker instead of Sinfield?

If you looked at this team's major skill sets - a top notch kicking game would not be high up the list. Yesterday how tries did we score from kicks?

| The long kicking game was ok, but as has been mentioned before on another thread the short kicking game with those little chips into the tryline were poor and we needed some with more height on or either a grubber
Think we managed to force some drop outs from our kicks so not all bad but could've been better.

Perhaps defences are improving to deal with such threats?
Our long kicking game plus our excellent chase was markedly better than Saints even with them having Luke Walsh who has to be one of, if not the best, tactical kicker currently in the superleague.
It was also built upon our generally better field position created by our old & underpowered pack.

Less of the stupid emoticons. The kicks were crap, the chase was good in the most part, until the players tired, but the kicks were poorly executed. You do understand the difference?
