| What an effort from them tonight. They look very dangerous. A huge pack who dominated for parts of the game, a great organiser in Dureau and then players who can produce moments of quality such as Sa, Menzies and Mr October.
That last try was something else - first time I can remember cheering at the tele for a team other than Leeds in recent years.
The top 4 in going to be a tough place to be this year with at least 2 from us, Saints, Wire, Wigan, Hudds and Cats missing out.

| Much better than Wide to West, except for it not being such a pivotal game. The fact it all had to be watched by the video ref in slow motion to actually see wtf happened made it even better

| I don't know who was more upset, the tearful Saints girl in the crowd or the Sky commentary team. I guess the "try of the month" might not be Mackinson's effort after all (was it only me that saw the ball go fordward a yard out of Shenton's hand?)
Half the Cats players could barely move by the end of that game, a huge effort. LMS came on for his second stint and reproduced his GF performance by giving away several crucial penalties. Although Child was so utterly crap it as all random by then anyway.
Great kick to win it, and another massive success for the Margin Meter (or to give it a better name, really inaccurate score board).

I think Stevo was in charge of margin meter tonight, so insistent was it that there would be a drop goal.

I've not seen a lot of him but he seems capable of monster hits in defence and bits of real quality in attack. Have I missed something?

A lot of these "professionals" are!
He still looks a useful player to me, compared to say a Mounis who has never impressed me and was embarrassingly bad at Headingley last year

That explains why it "lost the plot".

| Great comeback and the Sky team were as gutted as the ST's crowd great finger pointing by posing pr!#k Foster after his try didn't notice it in the 2nd half when he got mullered and it cost them a try.

| Foster is a great kicker and an accomplished finisher but an awful defender and decision maker - I'd give him a lot of blame for the Blanch break and Dureau try as well as the dropped kick.

| Bored of listening to the Sky team masturbating over the Saints performance, and how many they would win by that I switched to 'Benidorm' at half time.
I won't be missing the 'Super League' show so I can laugh too
Still....it's only February and it would be folly to dismiss Saints chances of losing another Grand Final

| Great comeback - I agree, I thought for such a magnificent effort to win the game, the sky team seemed strangely subdued. I don't think it's pro saints.......I thought it was more anti French.

He's a big lump and no more than that is Sa.
Mounis is a top player, but was continually asked to fill in at dummy-half where he's absolutely bloody useless.

There were some cringeworthy moments, during one Cats posession the entire lot of them were cracking on about how they were going nowhere and hadn't got anywhere near the halfway, when actually they had taken the ball from inside their 20 to 2 from halfway by 2nd tackle. They are like dinosaurs, it took them 10 minutes to realise Cats were actually back in the game.
Paul Cullen shows how full of $h1t he is at every opportunity now.

| A very strong looking Catalans team overcame a blitz from an inform Saints in the first half to produce a well earned result. The ref looked to favour St H in the first half and Wilkin was not penalised for consistently moving forward off the mark. Because of this and it choking the Sky commentators I was delighted with the result - nothing to do with my predictions you understand

| Got to agree with the comments about the Sky commentators. It was such a Saints love-in, and still was up until the hooter!

| For rugby ( both codes) & football I simply ignore the commentators, they're all poor, I just enjoy the game for what it is.
Last night's was a belter, more of the same please.

| The best bit for me was it was St Ganson apparently as the video ref. How many times did he look to see Menzies clearly propel the ball backwards, how many times did he study the Blanch offload that followed.
When all else failed I can't believe he couldn't find an obstruction anywhere. The ball was played with two seconds tops to go, the try was scored a good 25 seconds later, what a great moment. The only thing that was missing was Matty Elliott falling off his seat in the stand.
