Went missing yesterday IMO, if we were to beat Warrington without JP and Biffa then the kicking game had to be spot on and to be honest, it was non-existant. We seemed to panic on the last every time, I remember Webb, Diskin and Senior all doing panic kicks on the last. Ok, we nearly opened them up going for powerplays in the first 10 minutes or so, but after that it seemed like we'd played all our cards, we then concede a try from a good Briers kick (don't know where Delaney went for that), he then gets a 40 20 and they score a well worked try, from then we're on the back foot and our play was frantic and sloppy and Kev was not there as a captain to take control and realise we were 8 points down and we didn't need to panic.
Quote="WOODDDDDDDYA"Can't believe Mathers never had to take a bomb in the 1st half with the sun in his eyes. No Leeds player ever took control of the gameplan.'"
He did, it came off his backside and lead to Atkins try.
I expected Senior to stand up as "co-captain" - the position that JP usually takes, but as Sinfield, he seemed to have left his sharpener at home. Although, saying that, the forced kick he ended up having to make, was one of the better last tackle kicks of the game........oh dear!.......we really were terrible weren't we!!
