| ...from the Cas Supporters today.
The players were out enthused on the pitch by a better team and the supporters were second best to the HKR fans.
Occasionally after games, we knock individuals or the team in general, but today we were 2nd best all over the ground.

| I think there was more than the fans that wasnt fully sober today, we looked real poor in second half, a real lack of effort which for the first time this season I can say, were 12 down and cooke missed a drop goal and all our players had thier hands on thier heads, a poor ref display too. First half we match KR and second they rapped up Chase and we didnt have a second option. H KR we supurior in second half and we couldnt match them, KR fans were great too, a good following and very vocal. Well done KR you deserved it. Cas was a wake up call and what happended to our never say die attitude? really disapioned today, the first time in years were Ive walked out weve a few minuites to go, This match IMO was biggest of the season how its planned out, and the effort was not thier what so ever, they were either hung over or just had the 2 weeks off in back of thier minds, anyway im chessed off I really am, well done KR
Well Whinos away next lets hope they have their heads in gear

| I heard a rumour that the Cas players had been in Amsterdam for 3 days this past week from someone claiming to be Joe's cousin. It doesn't really make sense considering the importance of today's game and the fact that I've read that TM is giving the team some time off following this game anyway.
I don't think it's true, and believe it's more likely that they are going away for a few days as of today. Anyone else heard anything about this?

| The ref did give HKR field position a few times where they scored tries from them.
Our problem was we let dobson dictate everything on the field.
We never closed him down, he had a field day with the space we gave him.
On the other hand chase had a good first half, second half justin morgan sussed him out and he was closed out of the game. If only TM had done that with dobson the shoe might have been on the other foot come full time.

An absolute ridiculous rumour and can't believe you must have thought there was an element of truth in this by actually asking the question on a forum.

| The week off will do us good.
We have won 5 of our last 7 games. I'm sure we would have all taken that. There's no panic, we were beaten by a better team today.
I wish I had titled this thread better as I'm not knocking the effort of our team on the whole. I was pointing out that as supporters, we have control over our efforts in helping the team to win and today I thought the supporters were only 'singing when we were winning'.

I apologise for derailing the thread a little bit, I think it is typical with any set of fans to be quiet when things go against their team but we weren't really vocal enough at any point today. Hull KR were fairly quiet until they were clear in front too but we never rallied behind our players today which was a shame as they appeared to need it in the second half.

| Maybe if the 1000 fans that left the WRE second half had stayed then the atmosphere would have been better.
Pity we didn't play the other way first half.

This is true, I don't recall the last time we played towards the WRE in the second half.

No problem. There are posters names on here that I recognise as level headed, reasoned and worth reading. Yours is one of them, that's why I thought the 'rumour' thread seemed a little outta place.

Completely agree. After the noise and influence the HKR fans put on the ref today, it's a shame the 'Princess Street' thing never really took off.

| Thought Chase was causing them all sorts of problems, especially in the first 20 but then seemd to get a knock and wasn't the same for the rest of the match.
KR were far better but can't believe how they were allowed to get away with the laying on and slowing down at the ptb

| Having driven back over the pennines and thought it over I thought we were quite good today. Had one or two things gone our way and one or two passes stuck we could have won.
But hats off to what is a very very good HKR side. Having seen that could they be written off as a GF prospect? I dont think so.

I think that was the key; Chase was awesome in the first half, then Newton seemed to be given strict instructions to close him down and did. I also think that going for those two penalty goals instead of going for a try, when we were struggling to defend was a mistake. But it was a cracking game.

To be fair though the first 15mins Cas were laying on and doing all they could to slow Rovers down and when the penalties didnt come the Rovers players really started to take the micky out of the Ref!
I would deffinately say both teams were using similar spoiling tactics through the game and it seems in todays game it is all about playing the ref as much as it is playing the game. I know a lot of fans dont really like Silverwood but I dont often see him get played by teams he realises when people are taking the michael out of him and puts a stop to it. Think his biggest vice is he doesnt tend to like the fans getting on his back and sometimes seems to go a tad one sided if this happens.
