To go IMO Evans, Wrainright, Clayton, Netherton?, Faumuina, Massey?.
In my eyes, this year as been an improvement, but we need to continue moving forward. We have a very good [iskelton[/i team, but need improving in parts and overall squad size needs largening. TM needs to get busy again in the transfer department.
IMO we need a CLASS winger, centre and second row. Also another good Centre, hooker, prop and utilty player to cover SH and SO, and maybe another 2-3 fringe players.
If we can do most of that, cut out our errors and install some composure into our new squad, we won't go wrong.
IMO we also need a defensive coach on board.
Thats my view anyway.
Who would like to see come? (realistickly), who deserves a place?, who doesn't

| Where is Huby?
Also, I don't think we can afford to say "Owen/McGoldrick" as the FB option.
We're paying McGoldrick far too much to be considered an optional Full Back and nothing else. IMO Owen is going to become the first choice for full back, so we need to find McGoldrick a home on the field.

| TBH, I think we should be looking at real people. Skeletons are alright, but I think they'd do better in a less strenuous game. I won't suggest which one...

I can't fault there effort at all, I think we can find a more "skillfull" winger shall I say than wainwight, even tho he gives his all IMO I dont think hes the type of player if we need to keep moving forward, hes been a good servant, dont get me wrong.
With netherton, I dont know thats why i put a ? next to his name.
I woulnt mind tho if we kept them as fringe players

personally i've never really been a big fan of wainwright, but honestly he's won me over slightly since wire away and i wouldn't mind seeing him as a fringe player either.
As for Netherton i would much rather us keep hold on to him rather than go through with the supposed brad drew deal, aside from anything else netherton is 10 years younger and whether it's just my opinion or not, i think he has the ability to make us look quite dangerous in attack when he's at his best. plus, he'd probably save us apenny or two on the salary cap.

Effort is not everything. You need to have skill and quality and average bit-part players are not going to push us up the table.
We need to improve every position bit by bit, and unfortunately, Wainwright, Clayton and a couple of others aren't good enough for an ambitious top six Super League side.
I disagree about Netherton though. I'd keep him.

| Do you think it will be six out and six in ?
Less than six out or more than six out ?
Will we just replace players who are leaving or add to the squad ?

I can see us adding 2/3 to ensure we use the quota to the maximum and to further enhance our squad, but I don't believe we'll see wholesale changes.
I think Wainwright and Clayton may get one more year as back-up, but I think that's all they'll get.

I do feel, it will Evans, Wainright, Sione and Clayton to leave at end of season, and if so IMO I think we need to bring in 6 players for them 4, as our squad does need largening.
I would defenitaly rather have netherton over Drew too. Drew is too old and we need to be looking at the future and a stable 1 too, a 1 year fix is not what we need.
We should be looking at the market for a top winger and maybe keep wainright as back up and that would give us at least 1 addtional member to our squad

| I've backed the club up over a lot of unpopular situations this season and last, but if we get caught with our pants down next season with regards to squad size, there will be no excuse.
Clayton has impressed me this season, as with others I know he will never be a world beater but has been solid from what I've seen this season. I reckon Clayton and Wainwright deserve year extensions, but they shouldn't be looking to start many games next season, if any IMO.

| We have a 'real' squad of 22 this year, with two kids on the fringes Massey and Thompson.
In my opinion we need a 'real' squad of 25 next year, as none of these two young lads (or any others) have burst onto the scene. I would like us to lose 4 of our current 22 and bring 7 in. Crucially though, I think any of the ones we bring in should be good enough to go straight into the matchday 17 and keep the ones that some of us think are 'average' as squad players.
To progress, I can't see the point in replacing fringe players with fringe players.

Problem is can we afford the extra wage bill that will involve?
