How are we throwing money about? We've only offered a fee for Chase and that deal doesn't even look as though it's going to happen. Holdsworth came for free as did Galea, Ellis and Arundel.
We've signed alot of players for next season, but you say we've still failed to win anything so I don't get that especially when we haven't thrown money about at all.
As for Gentle he is a great coach and has done wonders with a pretty average squad.

No he doesn't, Visa are valid for 30 months regardless. We may have a problem when this arises.

Chase's visa with Cas Tigers runs out at the end on 2013.

37 months actually (3 years plus 1 month) but under transitional arrangements, he could then apply for a further 2 years to stay until a total of 5 years have been reached.

After 5 years (or 3 years if he is married to a British citizen) he can apply for British citizenship....

If you look on the Hull FC board they think the Chase is over and have given up on signing him. One poster even states they have "lost" him. How arrogant.

"Lost him" "Missed him" Binned him" Who cares if, at the end of the day, we get to say "kept him". May be a blow to the BOD looking for a cash injection and saving but good news to fans convinced that little or none of any Chase money would be invested in a half decent replacement.

In the current climate I would say no - we cannot afford him. If however we can get our fan base up to something like it was in 2011 I would say its achievable. It all depends if the stay-away fans can be tempted to come back with the new membership scheme. 2012 was about 1,000 down on 2011's attendances.

No, that's why I said it would be a blow to the board if the Hull deal fell through. As for our recruiting 'quite well' in expectation of Chase being off the books....so far about twice as many out than in and most of those arriving will be on less than say Ferres, Orr, McGoldrick and Hudson.

Recruitment has nothing to do with Chase. We have had 13 players leave us either out of contract or released including some of our higher earners.

I would imagine as fully says the players off rosta will make a huge difference.
Gilmour and walker i would imagine would be on decent contracts, Hauraki less so.
No idea on the aussie winger, probably on a good screw.
