Just wondered what everyone`s thoughts were on his performance last night as nobody has commented on it as far as im aware. He also reffed us against Whitehaven and although we won both games i feel that he has done pretty well so far. He also was the ref when Fev lost at home to Toulouse.

from what ive seen of him he as done ok,he is fair to both teams, and he will only get better the more games he does,,only one little thing does not seam to talk to the players alot, but that will come with more experience and the more english he picks up, alot better then quit a few refs kicking about,(ronnie),,lol

From what I have seen of him he is quite a good ref - lets the game flow and is consistant. If he continues to improve how long before he is off to Soooper League. Would certainly have him over most of the current refs we see week in week out

Thought he's actually done ok. Certainly aint as bad as some of the dross that we end up with.

One thing I noticed though, the TJ's didnt seem to help him much regarding forward passes as at times they were both in line with the defence 10m's back, rather than 1 with the play the ball & other looking for offsides.

Was ref at Dewsbury last week and at times it was easy to forget there was a ref on the pitch,he let the game flow,made his decisions quickly and efficiently and didn't stand for any back chat.

We've had a lot worse this season!!......

Thought he was ok - probabley the best ref in our league (not that, this is saying much).

tell ya , he is better then the clown ref at the leeds v wigan game, Ganson is a joke, bottled it, should have sent ablett off for that attack to the head

He did okay he is one of the few Refs that sticks to the same rulebook, if you are offside you are offside none of this well I gave them offside so I won't for a few sets of six or listen to the crowd as all the rest seem to do.

One thing though...I've been watching the Widnes game on video and after the teams were separated following the scuffle and the touchjudge had had his say he spent a while with his finger on his earpiece.

Was the video ref/Mr S Cummings telling him what to do.

Thing is Sean, if the French can produce refs like him and M Alibert then why can't we.

We are effectively having to import referees because we can't produce enough of our own to the required standard.

We don't talk about the game anymore, just officials.

What's the main talking point from last night's match? It's why didn't Steve Ganson send off Ablett.

PS I will say this...why wasn't Kavanagh dealt with on THursday when the touchjudge quite audibly says "number 17, number 17" when talking to the referee?

Yes he did say 17 a couple of times then he hesitated and then said 18 I think I will watch it again to see.
