Always impressed me when we have played them.

I would have him in our team no question. He'd be a quality signing. 2 players in 1.. barnstorming second rower with pace (well he did catch Holly up hill!) & superb ball handling skills.

I'm sure Martin and Matt could shake the Widnes stuff from his system.

He would be good, would prefer Sam Barlow from Sheffield though..

and a more than useful goalkicker as a bonus, was always a player I thought would achieve more than he actually did when I watched him progressing through the ranks with FC

when hsi name was mentioned on this site previously, seanfax had a few comments about why he wouldnt be a good signing....

He complained about his attitude, am sure that dates back to when he was younger and the fact he has had a few clubs. Has certainly been on form this year, plus is a local lad.

Think we should give Bannister a go before Fletcher, If we had a choice.

Fletcher is ten times the player Bannister is and a damn site better than Barlow (who I rate ). I hate to see him leave us probably the best 2nd row in this league.

If he does sign for you lot you'll realise just how good he is (could lose a few pounds though).

I have always been impressed by Fletcher in all the games against Fax, I rarely take much notice of the opposition players at games as I am busy watching our own, but think he would be a good asset to the team.

I reckon that if he is wanting big money, he will probably end up somewhere else, as the main foundation of our squad is in place and sorted for 2 years. Whoever gets him will be getting a player that will add something to their play.

If i could pick a player from your team this season to play for us next season it would be a close call between Fletcher and Morrison, two quality players. Big loss for you guys but if we cant have him i just hope he goes to a weak side so he cant cause too much damage. Quite liked Barlow too but i think there was a bit of a falling out when he was with us as a kid.

TBH ive also been pretty impressed with Bannister, if we sign him and he has a good off season i think he could be a stand out player next season.

Bannister wasn't given much time at Widnes got injured pre season and couldn't really force his way into the team. When he did play he didn't do too bad, not a patch on Fletch though. Only black mark against Fletch is his injuries.
Morrison has been named in our squad for next season but not many people expect him to stay.
Barlow looked good with us, would have liked to have kept him but McCormack in his wisdom let him go.
I thought our best and most consistant player this season was Gavin Dodd who has also been released.

Bannisters a fat little get and doesnt look after himself, expect an 18 stone mess when he reports for pre season.

Problem with Morrison seems to be that he signed a 2 year deal last year, but for some reason now he doesn't think he'll be with us next year. Unless someone is going to come in and offer us some money, it looks like the club are quite rightly saying you're going nowhere. If he wants to sit on the sidelines and not want to play for us then so be it, but the last thing the club should do is just let him go to one of our rivals for nothing when he's under contract with us. Sounds like a game of cat and mouse between the player, the club and possibly even another club.

He might have got away with that with your "box-ticked" club, but not here at Halifax. How's your signings?
