| Although the lads took a beating last week, I stated on here that finishing top gave you the reward of a home draw, one-game, win and in the final.
Tonight we reaped the rewards of a long, hard season in this division by finishing second place in the league table.
OK, Fev were on fire coming into this fixture, but they played two previous away games which must have been very tiring, maybe tonight was a game too far for them.
In all honesty, they finished 6th in the league, we earned the right for the home draw and that was crucial in the final outcome.
I say we earned that win tonight, I'm not too sure we'd have flourished with a third consecutive away game, played at night time.
Fev gave their all and the play-off's have been all the better for them being in there scrapping, but tonight's victory was a reward for a whole league campaign's graft by our boys.
So, onto the final and is it better to have a week's rest, or to go in battle hardened ?

| A week off wouldn't have done us any favours but a performance like that should do us a world of good. We look like we have some belief back, players working for each other,we are well capable of beating barra in the final.Like Larder said whatever has happened is now in the past, roll on next week.

| I wonder how much that drubbing up at Barrow last week will affect the players. From the positive way they responded last night makes me think they will go out fired up at Warrington.
The size of the win against Fax might also make a few of the Barrow players complacent. My mind flashes back to Fax beating Leeds 42-0 in SL and losing the play-off game the following week. When teams are well matched sometimes it can be counter productive to win too easily, so lets hope its the case next week.
Whatever way, if the Fax forwards produce its going to be a hell of a game.
