In all my time involvd in this wonderful sport of ours, tonight's game has spooked me big time !
The implications of our team winning or losing this single fixture are enormous for the future of the club for the next four or five years.

Playing the game for me was fairly simple, you trained, you prepared yourself, you turned up on game-day and you gave it all you had, but at least you had some influence on the outcome of the game.

My old fella refereed some serious rugby including major cup finals at all grades and in France and Australia and I always got the jitters hoping things went his way.

My two sons are playing the game and both are playing in sides that get to cup finals and the youngest is also a district rep and a 'Fax scholar, and I get the jitters hoping they make the right decisions, continue to enjoy & try & excel, keep themselves fit & healthy.

But this game is immense, it's like nothing else I've ever known, no second chances, and we don't have anything to offer other than turn up and give our support for the good cause.

The 2004 game made me feel sick, not just the nerves, but the whole situation was sickening.

The difference with that dreaded 2004 game was there wasn't anything to be excited about even if we won.

This is different, i also feel nervous but also very excited!

I agree, I can honestly say, I have never been more nervous going into a game.
Fortunately I'm in fax so don't have to worry bout traffic.

what on earth have you got to be nervous about, there is absolutely no chance at all that you will lose this match. because rugby league today is corrupt,witness the fact that fev rolled over and let batley win to send Leigh down. witness the fact that toulouse finished below Leigh yet Leigh were relegated unfairly,the fact is that if halifax look like they may lose tonight the RL will quickly get the word across to the ref and you will end up winning that is fact. it will be a faxx versus barrow grand final and neither team will be admitted to S.L. next time around mark my words. corrupt corrupt corrupt

No need to be nervous. Ive got a good feeling about this one. We easily have the team to win a big game and im hoping today is going to be the day we can do it. If we can turn the form book around im also pretty sure we can do Barrow in the final.

Don't see what there is to be nervous about, we could win the next 3 grand finals but we won't be anywhere near ready for SL.

Some of us just like the thrill of knockout footy. If you're so hung up about Super League - go and watch the Bulls.

SL will come when it's ready, nights like tonight are what it's all about and you dont need SL for that.
