Quote ="Darber""I know I'm not going to get moved next week, which helps with confidence, helps with positional play and helps me develop those combinations with the other players.
"When you're not there every week, it can be hard to get used to that.
This is what Shad said in todays paper and i think this is one of our problems and the reason why some players seem a little unsettled. It must be very difficult not knowing which position you are going to be playing week to week, take Beswick for instance, one week hes 6, then hes 9, then hes 13, this also happens during a game. I know supporters will say it keep the opposition guessing but think of it from a players point of view they cant get any consistancy into their games, because different positions demand different things from players games.
I am now coach all i can do is observe what other teams do and i dont see them chopping and changing they playmakers around, if Beswick is to start 13, he should stay their all match, not after 15 mins come off and then return and play 9, then after 15 mins return and play 6. That the only way players can gain confidence from that position and develop combinations with other players.
Do we know what is our best team?'"
Good points raised here. I think that this is the direct result of perhaps having too many so called play makers. I for one would like to see Beswick playing a full game at loose to help build his confidence there. I dont subscribe to the Widnes theory that he is a Hooker. Its strange how some Widnes fans slagged him off for leaving and critisized his ability but he managed to find his way into their personal best teams of this decade.
