I sometimes wonder if the people at Sky Bet watch Rugby League. How can they come up with these odds. Haven at 12/1 ??? One of the form teams IMO with Fax out of form. Widnes 2nd Fav's with Barrow when we have done them 3 times already.

I'd agree that Widnes and Fax are too short. I honestly don't think Featherstone or Sheffield are good enough to go all the way, but Barrow are looking favourites (for the minute at least). Could all be change again in the next couple of weeks. Barrow, widnes and Fax have all suffered dips in form over the past few weeks.

If Widnes can get to the final, I would certainly back us for the win, but we've left ourselves far too much to do in the play-offs. Looks like we'll have 3 away games to Featherstone, Whitehaven and probably Fax just to get to the final and we've only won 3 league matches away all year.

My estimate is that the table will finish like this ....

Widnes will need to win 3 away to get to the GF, so yes, I agree 11/4 is too short. Halifax, despite our indifferent form, should win at Leigh and at home to Tolouse, I even think we'll win at Batley, but the above provides for a cautious bonus point. So Fax should be amongst the top 2 favourites, even though I think Barrow should be favourites at this stage, and shorter than 11/4.

I think that this is a very fair assessment of how i would have it but would like to think that Fax could win up and take top spot. To me Widnes are the danger team. If they get to the final i would say they should be favorites, but Barrow do look in decent nick at the moment.

Their away form is too poor. They've won only 1 away out of their last 5 away, and that was an unconvincing effort at Toulouse. And they looked a well beaten team on Thursday. People talk about our own indifferent form, but Widnes will finish 6th, and they'll be finishing 6th for a reason. I cannot see them winning at Fev .... AND Whitehaven .... AND Halifax ... on the trot. Main danger for me,besides Barra, is Fev.

I hope your right...its just when we play the other teams i always feel confident but when we play Widnes i feel that we are gonna get beat so i would rather they went out of the play offs before they get to us....thats why we really need top spot so they have too much to do to play us....thats just my opinion of course. Just need the boys to get it together now...every game from now on is a final.

I dont think we'll do anything for the rest of this year, the northern rail cup in the bag and the box ticked that will do for me. Next year will be big for us as Cullen will pick his players.

They can all win on their day, i think Haven look the best bet seems as though they have made more finals than anyone in the league.

I think next year will be a very bizzare season with no sure fire winner. I think a lot of teams will be dismantled and rebuilt - unsure what will happen at Barrow but the new cap wont allow us to hold onto everybody.

i wouldnt mind having a punt at Fev they look a good side who finishe high enough in the play offs can have a good run andone that finishes below 3rd for example is going to have there work cut out with away games.

The seagulls are worth their money.

They play the basics well and make few mistakes.

Sheffield should be very similar. I think some players are on 2 year contracts and Lindsay, Howieson, Green and others already signed. As you have discovered, this Eagles team can be very good. They can also be poor.

I would think so. Three years in the CC then a Super League application. Would be a good bet too. Without getting into the whole P+R thing, Toulouse + 1 of the current English CC teams getting in SL would mean that some SL clubs need to be looking over their shoulders.
