Gents, that's fine by me no worries. Look, I've paid £36, £31 & £20 to watch three different games at Elland road this season, so to be able to watch a match for £15 is a bit of a bargain. I didn't actually say I'd be going to the game I said "And to be honest, this offer is far more appealing to me right now", as it happens we have a family get-together on monday & me & the mrs and some of our friends are out on the razz down Strawberry Ridge the day prior to that. Unfortunately I won't be watching any sport on easter monday unless it's on tv at home, but I was merely pointing out the competition for our attention poses on such occassions. I do however, if son No.2 is selected travelling to watch the Fax reserves midweek at Keighley cos i'm on the right shift.
I admire anyone who gives their all & follows their team, whatever sport, whatever code here there & everywhere but it's a big world out there & rugby league has had enough of my free time & cash over the years but just the last few years I feel badly let down by the sport itself. What is the point of no promotion & relegation ? We're being run by a set of liars & cheats who change the SL criteria & move their goalposts to suit their objectives as & when they like to suit themselves. Our game has become a joke from the very top down to the grass roots. Apart from U20's & a single college game a fortnight ago, I haven't watched a single junior game of rugby league since last summer's Halifax U18's matches.

i was born in halifax and so they are the teams i support/get my money, not bulls, giants or leeds utd, man utd etc.

You carry on watching your Halifax Town pal or whoever else there is in Calderdale to get giddy about, I'll stick with my crest fallen Leeds Utd who only 11 years ago were playing in the champions league semi finals round about this time of the year, hardly comaparable with Blue Square north is it ?

Cheaper to watch Rugby on Thursday down Shay followed by footy down Shay on Monday. Got pubs nearby and atmosphere inside ground + added advantage of watching 2 successful sides in entertaining games

well, well Colin something we do have in common, im a leeds fan as well, never missed a game when we went up in 89 or the championship winning season, still go now and again, went to the Cardiff game the other week and it was the worst game iv ever seen in my life. what happened with the crowd tonight 1100 is shocking really

It was 1364 not 1100, poor but I guess many did not think it would be on we still have lots of snow up here plus there were about 6 Dewsbury fans!

I keep tellin you, the game is on it's from top to bottom !!! In my case, did i use a days holiday from work 'cos I've been on 2-10 & risk losing it if the game was postponed, or do i think "it's only Dewsbury, we'll probably put 60 points on them anyway" ? Nah, summer rugby just isn't working, not when you've got to ask volunteers to clear snow off the pitch that two days earlier saw the football postponed on the very same pitch. Summer rugby my fat flabby ass.
Easter distractions, for example Leeds v Bradford on tv, I dunno pal, i can't answer you but all i can say is that for the first time I can ever remember i've missed three consecutive home games for various reasons.

My comment regards crowd wasn't point scoring by the way its not my style, im worried about the drop offs at leigh and Fax to be honest along with Rovers we are the 3 teams propping up this division. Were pulling some good gates in at the min due to the CEO Craig Poskitt he is very good at his job, the best 1 we have had, I just hope it keeps up but the recent crowd trends in the division would suggest otherwise. The assoles at the RFL have a lot to answer to
