It's been an issue with home supporters, all season. There are several issues, between the Centurions and the stadium owners, who insist on ticket only. Even home supporters do not find it easy to get tickets in the week before a game.

Gradually, these issues are being addressed and resolved.

However, to describe the stadium as 'pathetic' is a tad over the top. Perhaps when yours is finished, yo may be slightly better qualified to say it!

And 'no atmosphere'? Thanks to at last seeing a good away following, there certainly was atmosphere!

By the way - good luck in the play offs - 'Fax are still the best team I've seen against us, this season, although today some of the confidence and swagger was understandably missing.

Well, with a bit of luck, we'll be relelgated, and then you can enjoy huge home crowds against one of Championship 1's massively supported sides, next season!

Not Leighs fault, the Leigh fans i stood with are also miffed at the Stadium Management, it was a joke, 3 people selling tickets to thousands waiting, thats not customer service or satisfaction, those numpties who dream up these schemes want to try being a customer, pathetic..

This is the problem we've had all season - it's beyond our control, and we just have to keep chipping away at the stadium owners, until they gradually get an idea of what RL, and a RL stadium is!

Keep the faith Alan, was talking to some good knowledgable Leigh fans today, i just hope Millward can put up with Alan Rowley for your sake next year, if he can and the stadium managers pull their heads from their 4r5es you'll have a much better time of it next year, even the stewards think its a joke their too, so you have my sympathy and support.

Not the worst ground in the league by any stretch of the imagination, the ground itself is stunning. every seat has an un-interupted view of the pitch, which is pretty close. I am sure with a few more fans it would be quite atmospheric.


However what is it with grounds over there, do they not dare allow the gate people to handle cash? Same at Widnes. They have to staff the gates, so why not let them take the cash as well, and what on earth was the point of the drumming band outside the ticket office, the poor girl behind the screen had no chance whatsoever in hearing what you were asking and you certainly couldnt hear what she said.

great ground shame about the burgers, and having to get a ticket, but apart from that sat with a great bunch of leigh fans having banter all the game and at the end of the game they were quick to turn round and shake our hands

I didnt mind the stadium, thought it had a good atmosphere, only thing that annoyed me (apart from prices!) was the factr that whoever designed the roofs of the stand clearly thought he was designing a stadium for Arizona USA, rather than Leigh Greater Manchester!

The stadium as a structure and an arena is terrific, stands close to the pitch which was in great condition, a massive clear scoreboard and a great view from the seats. Just a bit more roofing to stop the rain coming in, but hey, its summer rugby league!

The actual organisation of the stadium however is absolutely terrible. Luckily we got there fairly early and got our tickets, however we didn't know which stand was open and where people congregated. You could barely hear the woman inside because of the stupid band outside.
Then it was the rip off prices of food and drinks inside the stadium. And to top it all off having to take bottle tops off drinks as they could be used as 'offensive weapons'. Absolute joke.

was talking to one of ower suppoters and they would not let him take photo's of the game, one of there jobs worths said its against rugby league laws, what a clever p - - - k he was, as far as i know as long as there for your there for your own use its ok, he said if he wanted to take pics he would have to apply for a pass, every other ground in rugby league u can take pics, how pathetic, there was other silly stuff aswell, but we wont go there again it was the same clever p - - - k,

I hope not ,unfortunatly that kind of thing is a by product of trying to chase the Super League dream. Having to move into premises where you have to leave your historical home and share with the Wendyballers .Then instead of being able to run your own stadium you have to contend with the garbage of the stadium manager and everything else that goes with it.
A bit like us really.

How did you find there stewards?

Because super Leigh Genesis play there they treat the place as a 'football stadium' and put up aload of daft rules yu don't expect in a 'Friendly' league enviroment!

Head steward / guy who runs stadium operation (someone like that) has a background as a footy steward and is simply a massive willy!

What I find ridiculous is that I took a bottle of coke into the ground with me, my mate bought one in there and they wouldnt let him keep the top on.... But mine did?????
