Fax are setting the pace for sure, but reading some of the comments on here would have you believe that they've already won the thing. Fax WILL lose at least 1 or 2 games this season so it's still all up for grabs. You also have to remember that this is Barrow's first season at the higher level and most of the 10 'locals' who played today (and vs Wigan, Fax and Widnes)have never played at this level before. They are only going to get better.

There's a long way to go and Barrow still have room in the salary cap for 4 more players. Today's defeat will give the Barrow players, coaching staff and officials even more determination to improve. I'm sure Des J has a few quality signings up his sleeve for the 2nd half of the season.

The fact is that the only thing that matters is who wins the GF in September. Fax may well be peaking too soon (as they have done in the past).

By and large - especially on this thread - we react to kn[iobhea[/id posters from other clubs. As for peaking too early - at what point to people stop saying that? When we lose to Barrow in the Final?

Those who have been on here since the early years will remember the great rush of people who came to kick us when we were down. We are now enjoying the team the current coaching set up has brought to us. We have won nothing and there is a long way to go; we all know that but this forum is the place where we show our appreciation for what is happening. If visitors don't like that, tough. If visitors don't like our opinions on here, they don't need to visit. That also applies equally to Fax fans visiting other sites.

Fair play to those comments. You also have to remember that Barrow have been in the doldrums for FAR longer than Fax and so also deserve a bit of credit. Our fans have sufferered far more than Fax fans over the last few years.

I was referring to Mr High. Full credit to Barrow for where they are now and no-one has booked their place in the GF. Going on current form and the style of rugby we're playing you can understand the optimism on this forum.

Yep that 76-12 home defeat by us was one of those 'ouch' moments, the turnaround by you lot has been momumental. Shows what a backer can do for a club with potential.

Toulose are one of the form teams in the league at the moment.If they carry on with this kind of form till the end of the season they will be in the mix for a good play off position.And the rfl have said that you only have to compete in a play off final to be eligable for the 2012 franchise spot.

You dont have to be a rocket scientist to relise what that would mean they had a crowd of nearly 3000 there tonight and we all know expansion is the name of the game concerning applications.

So fax could go all season unbeat and win the grand final but if the french team are there oposition in the final that would be very concerning for every other club for the next two seasons as we have seen with the crusaders the rfl dont give a didly squat who they upset when choosing the winning franchise team.

This post aint meant to pee on your parade just to give you a idea of what a sucessful Tolouse side means to the rest of us who are hoping for that goal of superleague in 2012.

I don't think anyone on here is under any illusion as to what a successful Toulouse side will mean. All we can do is try and tick as many boxes as we can - the rest is up to the God's at Red Hall.

Imagine if Toulose make the grand final, thats going to be a pretty poor crowd and atmosphere whoever they play.

My soul has been totured in a few PM's from TS but i have found him to be nothing more than a gentleman.

As far as I'm aware, you've never spent a season lower than 2nd tier and you've had several years in SL.
