I suppose when you look at the standard of goal kicking displayed in the play offs by SL clubs he has to be worth his place. We do however need some excitement in the backs department . I don't know if I am up for watching Muzza trundling around with his stomach for another year . I started watching Halifax because of the likes of Joe Kilroy and Greg Austion but I haven't had much to be excited about for a few years now . Connor McGrath could be quite good but doesn't get to play . Oh for Qlt back just want some spark, no season ticket for me until there is someone signed with flare . ( and I know there isn't many around .. We might have to raid a Samoan Island for some young fast lads. To start their careers . ) it does feel very quiet from the club currently they need to be working hard now in close season pushing the club upwards

Same here. When did the club start dishing out 3 year contracts? As good has he has been for us, at times last season I thought he struggled to justify his place in the team. At his best he is one of the best centres in the league but that form is very hit and miss.

I worried that we need to have a player in the team who may only be there for his goal kicking. Again that just highlights the fact we don't score enough tries to win more games comfortably.

As I do not get to see fax live my comments may be unrealistic, need some flare in the backs, was Butler not a centre at the start of last year, fleet footed ,big, line breaker, decent passer, and can tackle. scored a few tries from there. Putting him in the second row? sure R M had his reasons. I also thought J W H could play centre too? As for Tyrer reports say he is a monster tackler and shores up the defense so not all about his goal kicking ability.

So season tickets have gone on sale no free kids ticket with each adult .... Just why when last year the kids were starting to come back should of pushed on and give a reason for the mum/dad to get one

Yes they are going to have to work harder to get the money in . It's flat as a proverbial at the moment . Really think the kids on season tickets needs a rethink investing for the future.desperately need some positives to build on from whichever on or off field new sponsors ...new ideas new something to wet the customers appetites because it feels like the menu is the same for this season. Come on Bod spin something....anything .

Alternatively Craven from widnes isnt exeactly up to much there, sure he may cost a little but again surely its got to be worth it.

The point im trying to make is that its about damn time that Halifax actually start to spend some of this money. we're not going to blow our wod on a new team with a make or break mentality but if we can entice 2/3 players and i means REAL QUALITY players - your Sammuts, Cravens, QLTs it would completely transform our team.

Would think 450k ish is the total player budget it's all about total wage bill and what's free to balance the budget if we sign someone bottom line is they were inventive with Ben black and Freddie . We need to be inventive again and pick up a nobody that becomes a someone .

Do we not have 'no ones' that become someones' in our reserve string, if not why bother running it, as few other teams bother about it. Will be interesting to see what sanctions the R F L put into the 5 Pillars when one of the conditions is 'Producing' players, I read that to be have a reserve/under 21 squad not buying them in. No doubt some clubs will 'manage the system'.

It's like banging your head against a brick wall with the RFL. They make rules and they don't mean a thing. The clubs who voted in favour of the new structure have given SL clubs Carte Blanche to do as they wish and I can only see us breaking away to see any progress for the Championship clubs at all. Fax have to decide where they want their future to be because to trundle along as we are, I see no future at all. Up The Fax!

5 fax players who have come through our reserve side have been picked to play for wales etc this autumn.
