Serious question here who out of current Fax team would get on any NRL team, not many in SL never mind our league.

Good players yes,better players as of now ,I doubt.

Penky, Gleeson and Black may all have a good chance with fulltime training. Theres loads of players in SL who would be able to play in the NRL, virtually the whole saints and leeds teams would. I appreciate that Saints and Leeds are the 2 best teams i SL but if you look around SL theres people like Ryan Atkins at Wakey who i think could easily play in the NRL.

Do you ever watch NRL if you do you are either very naive re RL or just showing blind loyalty.

NRL is faster and tackling technique is miles better than over here, very few Brits have made it over there during the last 50 years and you think Penky,Gleeson and Black who can't get SL contracts would make it.

Would you have said this about Adam Hemmoroids prior to him being picked for NRL? Would you have said he was NRL quality or do you just wait until they're actually picked before expressing your wisdom. Talk about being wise after the event ! Another "ten 'o penny" forum expert.

This might sound stupid, but having seen a few games in the semis and final in Aus a couple of years ago, I commented on how much slower it looked compared to watching on Sky. Then somebody pointed out that it is speeded up for Sky! It may only by a split second, but it makes a difference to the viewing.

I've been watching RL for nearly 50 years all over the World and don't take kindly to being called a "ten a penny " expert. Some of your comments are laughable but name calling is just childish.

Most players in SL would get into NRL squads, maybe not play all the time, but would not look out of place.

The simple fact that Jordan Tansey is starting at Full-Back for the Roosters is proof. He couldn't hold down a place in the Leeds side but is starting out there. Also the NRL is full of South Sea Islanders that are big and fast but are lacking any technical quality.

If you actually read what other people say instead of "trying" to be smart all the time,you might get taken serious,as it is most fans think your a bit of a tool.

I love the game and comment occasionaly on other boards unlike yourself who seem to have an inside into everything at Fax and other clubs, only most of the time what you state as fact very rarely is proved to be so, but if it keeps you happy fair enough.

Penky and Gleeson have played more SL games than Heremaia ever will. I don't really watch NRL anymore as it's on Setanta I think, that said when i did used to watch it I found it fairly slow and boring.

Why should I discuss a subject two weeks ago when it was not even a topic,I was simply responding to a thread on here, thats what you do on message boards.Where have I said he is NRL class ,all I said was very few SL players would make it in the NRL and NO player from Fax ,Leigh or any other club in our League would get on a NRL team at present,and very few from SL.

Come on then know it all tell me how many GB players have made a good long career in Australia, you would struggle to name more than half a dozen.Many have gone but few have stayed for more than a couple of seasons.Its the same with British footballers in Europe, the style of play or lifestyle does not suit them.

From what we have seen this season and last we have better players than Heremai was when he was over here - He may just be lucky and be at the right place at the right time - remember Dayne Nerrixxxxx played NRL and he was one of the worst players i have seen.

IIRC Blacky was on the verge of playing NRL when he was at Burliegh Bears played for the Country team as well didnt he? so he musnt be a bad un.

Why would british footballers go play in Europe though? The english league is the strongest and richest in the world.

I take your point about not many brits having succeeded in oz but how many want to go? They would probably earn less money over there and I bet a lot of SL players don't think it's as good a competition as SL.

I'm merely stating that, because you know that AH has been picked to play NRL this weekend then he's obviously good enough for it but yet only last year he was about to pull on a Fax shirt for a season. In this example, swap AH for Ben Black and then possibly you have another player who may be good enough.
