| Its clear that Fax over the years could and should have done things a bit better. But the same could be said of the Soccer club. But this attitude from a large number of Halifax Town fans on the forum towards the Rugby Club and anybody connected to it is a disgrace. Threatening people and spreading libel etc is just bang out of order. Where is this massive debt that we allegedly have? Where is the evidence we owe loads of rent? No evidence, but plenty of lies spread by the Soccer lot. Saying Tony has no local connections is another thing fabricated by these muppets. Thats why he lives here since many years and has built his company here employing hundreds!
Whoever the mods are on that forum should be ashamed of themselves with the lies and abuse that is allowed to be posted and accepted. People moan on here about our Mods, but I think they do a good job and keep things in check and no such BullSht would be posted as over their. Bubba is such a stuck up idiot and so full of himself. He should be asking questions of his Soccer club instead of helping lead a hate campaign against Tony Abbott and co. He can say its not Rugby v Soccer. But him and his friends on that site have made it such and have once again showed that they are such lowlifes. Its clear there will always be a them and us. The more I hear and read from the fans and how the club deliberately works against the rugby club, the more the gap widens. I wonder why anybody would ever want to have anything to do with the soccer club if they will likely be abused. No wonder the club refuses to speak to the fans
I hope some more details are released in to what Tony wants to achieve and hope that it benefits everybody. I also hope the Council should they decide to sell make sure that something is in place so that Fax (and Town) will never ever be forced out of the Shay. The shay will be a relic in 10 or 15 years time as the council has no money and neither do the clubs. For somebody like Tony to offer to run it , the council must look at it. I hope Tony can take over, but that the right safeguards are in place for the future and that the clubs as well as the stadium and the local community can benefit.

| B*llocks to their Forum, How many people are posting 30, 40?
Do we think they are a true representative of Town supporters?
They are like those people who turn up at demonstrations simply because there is a demonstration.
Some bloke who commented in the Courier (something to do with the supporters trust) seems to have a hidden agenda.
I have never placed a bet in my life, but, I bet Town Directors are happy with Mr Abbotts proposal, I bet they are happy to let these clowns cause all the distraction, simply to deflect anger towards them.
Ignore them, it's up to the Council,
To the Council "you know it makes sense"

| Personally I think the town fans are turning it into a vendetta against the man
himself Tony Abbott and the way he goes about his business. The fact that Reactiv operates
within the media sector and "cold call"'s people to make their money. Fair comment.
I'm yet to see a millionaire town fan offer to put his money where his mouth is though. oh wait yes I have..T.Abbott.
I see a guy who is willing to try to improve things for everyone using his expertise.
I don't see any of the Town board stepping forward to offer to go 50/50? As a supporter of both
clubs since childhood (I'm 24 now) I always favoured Fax as I played Rugby League as a schoolboy
but I always had one eye on FCHT and wished they'd do well. Spent many an afternoon watching
The Shaymen.
After reading up on the town forum I'm seeing an awful lot of closed-mindedness but then again
I believe Football fans in general are that way out (It took them god knows how long to
get "goal line technology" installed for christ sake). Why so unhappy? Promoted back onto the national stage at last after some dark days and competing against the "bigger teams". Should be jumping for joy!!! Just make sure you take a packed lunch with them prices..
I feel the biggest grievance shaymen supporters have in the argument is the cases at Coventry etc but I just see it as paranoia. FCHT are not Coventry City!! Do you not think If the stand was Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally finished people might actually find The Shay a pleasant place to spend their time and money with their family and friends? I certainly do. I'd like the Town board to issue a response as soon as possible otherwise this debate could rumble on longer than Nigel Wood's 2x12/3x8 vision.
Finally I just want to say Thank You to Tony and his team for showing my hometown clubs the way forward. keep up the good work.
Now to get behind the teams and make some noise
Oo to, oo to be, oo to be a FAX FAN

Only one company has a good credit rating and advises a credit limit of £3,100. Make of that what you will! I am just posting the facts.
Now I know that Tony has been at the club for some time, but nothing in his history there suggests that things are going to be much brighter in the future to me.
Looks like a business move that in the long term will give him good land hogging to develop in the future.
Those that come in to money fast generally leave it or their past as quick.
I may be wrong but I will reserve my judgement on this for 2 years and see where things are. I do not however see this as being in the best interests of either club and just in one persons interest only.

Like I said, I am not in favour of this, but it may work out in the long run. I think you're all a little naive in the sense that no one seems to want to question whether it's a good idea.
With a credit limit of £3,100 that's one cheap stadium. So there will be guarntees put on any purchase. If Reactiv Media goes belly up, then what? New landlord and then all this low rent, life's good garbage get's us nowhere.
I want some facts, not just hot air that I read in the courier. All I've heard so far is PR spin and nothing more.

As a Halifax Rugby League fan I'll speak [u MY[/u mind thanks. If you don't like it then fine. However, I ain't no Football fan. I just don't have my head in the sand like some.
Let's hope this all doesn't turn out like Barrow. I remember what everyone was saying on here during that period. Suddenly now it's ok and a good business modal.

The £3,100 is the insurable value. (Risk Disk part of Experian business cover) If they went bust you can recover the insured value of £3,100. These figures are correct as of today. As you can see the last Annual return is May 2013, so you have all the correct figures you need.
Having had a successful business myself for over 10 years I certainly know how these things work.

Slayerfest - I don't think it was aimed at you. He was saying in general, it would be good to hear the official side from FCHT and their points of view.
Then hear from Tony.

| How hard can it be? 99 year leases for both clubs and a clause to safeguard the future of the ground as a sports arena for Halifax? Tony puts his money in, Halifax finally gets a better, FINISHED ground and he makes some brass for his enterprise. Jobs a good 'un!

Absolutely, something like this is what we need. As the last thing we need is if Tony falls out with the club in the future then we don't then want to be held to ransom over petty arguments.
These are the details that I want to see before I say 'yes' or 'no'. Until I see this then how can you possibly say it's a great idea for the town. Halifax RLFC have had their share of bad decisions in the past and I wouldn't want us to fall foul to another that we have little input in.

The problem is if Reactiv go bust. All contracts become void and the administrator
sells the ground to whoever to pay some dividend to Reactiv's creditors.

Well here I go,
I can not believe any supporter of HRLFC can doubt Mr Abbotts intention.
Mr Abbott sponsors Siddal RLFC, is he going to turn that into a supermarket? affordable housing?
Does any one think that he would want to walk away from both Fax and Town?
Where does this stupid notion that he may go bankrupt come from?
I would think his finances are far more in shape than Calderdale Council.
I have never met Mr Abbott but have heard him speak on a number of occasions, I have no doubt about his sincerity, I have lots of doubts about Calderdale MBC's long term commitment to the Shay.
Remember for the last two seasons they promised both clubs new drainage, what did we get, Blackpool beach.
I always like to sit on the fence.

I am glad that you have cleared up the confusion with your "[icredit limit[/i" - insurable risk is different to business credit limits used in business - you are talking about 100% debt insurance cover- which is a completely different matter.
To remove 100% of insurable risk will of course produce a ridiculously low figure - who runs a business these days with nil risk.
I also have no idea why I should look at an annual return for "insurable risk".
An annual return is a requirement of the Companies Act to tell people who the directors and shareholder of a business and where statutory papers are filed and kept for public scrutiny- nothing to do with setting credit limits. To set a credit limit you look at filed financial statements.
It is clear to me that you are twisting facts to make a disingenuous attack on one of success stories of Yorkshire business. The success of Reactiv is especially incredible when he has done it during a massive recession.

I like the I bit what we are all forgetting is this is all up to the Council and believe it or not they will not transfer an asset like the Shay without pouring all over the credibility of the people who are looking at taking the Shay over with a very strict legal agreement and I am sure something in place where ownesrhip will revert to the Council should the people taking over go bust.
Remember the Shay is allocated for sport in planning so will never become anything else so both clubs can relax on that one.

| To be fair, I'm bored of it all now.
Nobody, except perhaps Tony Abbott, knows enough information to make an informed decision.
Love what Tony does for Fax and personally, would rather he focused all his efforts into getting Fax back where they belong.
I hope the crap he's had to put up with doesn't drive him away.……
