PNG are part of the Kolpak ruling are they not? Therefore wouldn't count on the quota ie// Dana Wilson and Frank Watene (although Frank has been in Britain for yonks now but in the case of him coming to Britain for the first time I think he would come under the Kolpak ruling.)

Flanagan can play stand-off, certainly has done n Wigan academy so I'm told.

we cant really be reliant on him being fit either with his record of misfortune.

think we need a really quick player that can break the line with his speed without playing him at 6,7,9 or 13. although worrancy has been coming in feild abit hasnt he.

think maybe we could use a loan prop from super league whilst james comes back no offence to wrench he is a decent and consistent player but i dont think he gets the amount of go forward he should for a prop.

yes but if he's not playing regular rugby for saints then we can try loan him for a couple of months might be worth a shot.

A mate of mine at work is mates with Kyle Eastmond, says he's currently injured at the minute due to some shoulder surgery in the off season.

If he was to come availible though, the fact he's Miles Greenwood's Cousin may just swing it. But I think he is part of Saint's Plans so doubt it would happen.

Why not give charlesworth a go he played his amatuer games at stand off and if he gets a gap no one will catch him

When the likes of Charlesworth, Bowman, Moore and other dont get picked for the first team, where on earth do they keep their match finess up and play themselves into the first team?

BTW. I dont mean where on earth geographically.

Calland has said previously that he may have to loan out some of the squad members who arent getting games to NL2 clubs.

I would hope the Bowman brothers, Graham Charlesworth , Cherryholme get 80 Minutes against Blackpool. With respect these players need to show what they can do and with respect to Blackpool these guys are easily good enough to cause them problems.
I would even be tempted to play young Bowman from the bench against Sheffield as if he is good enough he is old enough-look at how young the likes of Brad Fittler, Darren Lockyer, Shaun Edwards, Greg Inglis and Israel Folau were when they became first team regulars. I also think if Govin is injured when ever we need to have a player who knows the set up and the players know him not just in training but on the paddock. Take a risk!

I'm with giving Bowman and Charlesworth some gametime against Blackpool and Loughborough. Can Charlesworth kick?

why all this about a stand off, we have one and nobody as even mentioned him, dwayne barker, played stand off at dupper league level, give him the chance while playing in the northern rail cup,if it dont work out then go for it get another player in

I'm sure i've read cas and hull kr fans say that barkers best position was second row or centre though. If govin stays fit i'm more than happy for him to be stand off, he looked very lively of sunday. Plus Govin has got to have a bit of luck with injuries sometime soon.

I would presume those who haven't had much game time will be given it against Blackpool and Loughborough, that includes Wrench and Wilson as well.

Charlesworth missed a fairly simple one against Fev given his reputation he gained at the Irish but he does seem to be the obvious back up kicker for Haley, although Govin is a very good goal kicker as well.
