| What do we expect? Will we finally see Fax put in a full eighty minute performance in the league? Will Lachlan be back, how will Ryan Lannon effect the forwards influence? Bradford's season seems to have followed a similar course to ours, very stop start. The bulls are definitely, on paper, much improved on last year but they have also served up a couple of shockers against York and Keighley. Prediction wise it's almost impossible to say what the outcome will be considering both sides early season form. If Fax do at last click i can see only two points for us but it's about time we did put in that eighty minute display. We'll see. Up The Fax! icon_thumb.gif

| Very difficult to predict which is why I’m not. It Could easily go either way. Play like we did against Fev in the cup and we win play like we on Sunday and we lose. Hope it’s a good hard game and we cut out the silly mistakes and easy penalties.

| On paper our team looks quite a bit better than theirs and there isn't many of their players that you would pick in front of ours if you were to pick from the two teams and that for me just shows how far our form has been off so far this season. The irony is not lost on me though that one of their players I would have in our side is Joe Arundel.

| A lot will depend on the makeup of Bulls squad - they're potentially missing Walker, Lawrence, Thompson and Gill injured plus 3 loan players suspended, that's a lot of quality to strip out if a team and if all those are missing I'd be very disappointed if we couldn't manage a win.

Fair points but if we finally click we should be fine, it's all about us. icon_thumb.gif

| I'd say you're definitely favourites. We'll be missing Walker and Lawrence for sure. There's major doubts about Gill. Thompson I think will be back but Rogers, Roby and Johnson are all suspended. We'll be light up front and very inexperienced on the left edge. To win we'll need to play better than any game this season so far and have a slice of luck. Fax by 20 I reckon.

| It is a tough one to call with both sides being up and down in there performances so far this year. Prediction wise i will go for a fax win 24-16. And just out of interest in the 2 games we have coming up against Bradford and i would be interested in Bradford fans take on this too if you could only win one of those games which would you pick. For me i would choose the cup game not just to get into the sixth round but also we would be in the semis of the 1895 cup and just 80 minutes away from a day out at Wembley.

| As already said both sides have been inconsistent in their performances and it’s different to assess we’re both teams are at . Team selection will be interesting with Lannon and gannon available for selection. The centre position is a tricky one , maizon has shown flashes of what he can do , McComb has been inconsistent but has always performed well against Bradford, part of me would be tempted to play woody there and pickersgill at fullback because woody is just an all round better player but he’s been so good at fb it would be a risk .

Aye, leave well alone with Woody. He's found his rightful place and is the best full back at the club. It would be daft to move him.

| Ultimately I think we acknowledge we need a good all round centre and I’m just thinking out loud half the time , forums are there to express opinions whether we all agree or not is somewhat irrelevant.

| Last season it looked as though Tibbs would develop into a top quality centre, still young and relatively inexperienced he seems to have lost a bit of confidence not helped by being shifted back out to the wing after injury. I see some similarities to JWH, who for years showed potential but was never able to nail down one position consistently. I love Mcombs energy and enthusiasm, and he rarely let's team down, but at some stage I hope Tibbs gets another chance at centre.

Gannon at centre,
A big ask for someone who plays mostly in the middle. Second rows can cover centre as they used to defending wider but a prop. As they used to say on Laugh In " Interesting but stoopid."
Woody is best fullback in Championship. Should not move him unless all half backs crocked.
Even then i would play Gannon in the halves before moving JWH.

| Thought Gannon was more a second row and had the pace to catch Woody over 80 metres at Headingley...

When Fax signed him they said he was "a young prop" and most things I have read have said prop or loose forward. These days the two positions seem interchangeable , as per Fairbank and Tangata.
Though what Pendlebury and Renilson would have thought of it I have no idea.
Oh for one of those two or even a Halmshaw .

| We had Jacob Gannon last year and he definitely didn't look like a prop. He played more edge backrow. No idea if he can play centre - he never played there for us. Hopefully you have him on your right side as our left side will be equally inexperienced if Gill is still out.

| Please please please Simon, Fax.
I am away on holiday and will be hoping for a solid win tomorrow, especially after what the Shaymen managed against ALL odds yesterday.
Make us proud and stuff them including Chester Butler bigging them up.

| I really don't know what's going on, every week we watch the same thing, Simon grix acknowledges we give away to many cheap penalties and try and force it, then week after week we are doing it again? Are we not working on these things in training because I cant see a change week on week.

| He signed some size; Will Maher, the worst prop I have seen at this club in many a year. I would rather have someone like Foster or Oakley in the squad with Tangata at Prop than see Maher anywhere near the 18 for the rest of the year. How he can get rid of Arundel for not performing and keep starting Maher is beyond me.
Brandon Moore looks like a broken man, offers no threat so markers can just step out to tackle our forwards. We look like a different team when Inman comes on.
Its beginning to look like last year was all the work of Scott and Liam Finn. This year is identical to the abysmal years either side of covid under Grixy. He appears too stubourn to make adjustments when what is on the field clearly isnt working.

| Bulls had a decent pack, bolstered by several loanees who ran and tackled hard - in view of the number of our mistakes that was all they needed to do. Our outside backs looked as though given any decent ball they could have done something- indeed almost every time they did get this we either scored or at least looked dangerous. As has been said above Keyes looks to have lost all confidence- unfortunately this is also feeding into his goalkicking. Some can still hold their head up after tonight - thought Maizen had his best game, Walmsley tackled anything that moved and took his try well. Also thought Murray had a decent game. Final thought - I know lots have been clamouring for a massive forward- Maher must have been the biggest man in the field - conversely the most dynamic forward on the field was Donaldson - probably one of the smallest forwards.
