S Bennison, touch judge on Sunday. That would be Sarah Bennison the first female TJ for years at this level, according to this weeks League Express.
Will give us spectators something else to distract us if Ronnie brings his ever blowing whistle along and spoils the on field entertainment.

'Bout 3 or 4 years ago I thought Hicks was terrible. Well, even last year he gave that Harris try at Fev as vid ref which never was. But I have noticed him get visibly better over time. And he had a great match tonight, one or 2 slightly wrong calls, but the same for both sides.

Thought he was ok... But i welcome "ok" with open arms these days.

I thought Hicks was good tonight. He let the game flow. Lets hope Ronnie "look at me" laughton was watching.
Far better game to watch this week.

Had a really good first half I thought. About midway through the second he did look like losing control a little with a lot of face planting of Fax players going overlooked, started to look like it might kick off a bit. But beyond that, a pretty solid game. And allowed more flowing rugby that I'm expecting will get by at the weekend.

He held his nerve against the whinging scouse crowd. Shouting for forward passes on every fax pass, and for offsides at every Widnes play the ball!

Did you read what they put about her though? Absolutely hilarious. Putting a picture of her in, then putting that it looks normal untill you look closely. Is she really that ugly that you can't actually tell if it's a man or a woman at first then?

Asd for the female touch judge, if you cant keep up with play to give a very clear forward pass inthe first few mins when Hunslet scored... well please stay away & take the *#$% Laughton with you!!!!!!

There was more than 1 forward pass that let to a score, however we were rubbish, full stop. Ronnie needs to grow a pair and hand out some cards if that's the cut of his jib instead trying to decimate his pea every 30 seconds.

I dont know why we even bother having Ronnie as a ref. For every decision he looks at the linesperson(?)

IMO, Nat maybe thinking that Rockin' Ronnie couldn't give a decision on his own.

You obviously didn't see Chapman getting sent off then? Other refs would have tinned out on that one, good on Robot on that one.

Personally I don't think he had that bad a game yesterday. He did miss stuff, granted, but EVERY ref misses things. We have had him far too often to know what he gives penalties for cheaply and we still got ourselves into those positions, showed how poor we were IMO. We are too quick to blame the ref for our own ineptitude.
