Bloody hell HalifaxJohn, here is a first....I completely agree with your analysis of the game.

Hull were shocking, Poor Crooks had a nightmare. 18+ FC handling errors I reckon and you can't blame the weather/ball for many of them....bad technique. Thought the pie lad who scored down the far left with a right turn of pace did well, and thought Tomkins was quality throughout. The bravery to take that ball in the first half was what Hull lacked 10 mins later. I was shocked at the quality of the game and not a good advert for non sky subscribers that only see 8 or 9 games a season on BBC.

The game was classed as a sell out. Hull & Wigan sold all of their allocation. Both ends were rammed....you might have seen the Elland lads in their Superman outfits? All of the empty seats that we saw on TV were all sold too. Fantastic that we can get a cup final ticket for £12 but the downside is that clubs snap them up early doors before all of the drop outs.

The kids were carrying flags representing all the clubs that started out in the Cup this year Amateur n professional
all clubs were asked by the rfl to send a rep they got 2 Free tkts to go I went with my Son who represented Shaw X he comments on here as well (Dutchy the fax fan) he said it was an unforgetable experience being on the pitch in front of 79000 fans something he`ll never forget. it was a shame though that a lot of clubs didn't send reps so they used local London kids instead.

I wonder why some clubs didn`t take it up ? fancy not taking up the advantage of having an experiance like that something they will remember forever .I remember a few years ago my grandaughter was one of the mascots for England when they played at Huddersfield she still talks about it to this day.
