Nah Hunslet just took all their chances due to some WOEFUL defending by us.
That was an awful game of RL not much good rugby come on, one decent try whole game which was Worrincys.
What on earth were we thinking today playing so soon after a hard game at Widnes and having half a second team playing???
I have to say that SKY should never be allowed to have any team play two games on Sky within a week of each other, this scenario of not been able to fit a postponed game in due to bad weather may very easily happen again not just to us.
Today reminded me why RL is still a minority sport, poor game, poor crowd with no atmosphere and hardly any away support then one team, who deserved to win I must agree, trying all illegal means to keep us out and the punishment not fitting the crime, stiff arms should be at least a sin binning imo.
Blimey I can't believe it that we are out of the NRC.
I cant believe some of you are blaming the ref after yesterdays defeat, you had 9 sets of 6 on our line scoring only once due to fantastic defence. Ok Chapman was sent off for the stiff arm i agree it was stupid and dangerous but to say we are thugs is wrong. What about the attack to Chapmans head from a short restart you tried? What about Dom Malony going head high in nearly every tackile he did? Come on put the sour grapes down and give credit where its due. Good luck for the rest of the season i am still saying you will win your league.
Hunslet played tremendously and if we showed 1/10th of their effort, passion, urgency and desire, we would have won that game. They came out and wanted it from the word go, whilst we went through the motions thinking rather arrogantly we didn't have to really play to get the result.
Despite their age, the March brothers and Chapman are extremely useful players and we gave them far too much time. You could tell their experience as well, time wasting at every opportunity. When we drew level we showed our inexperience by taking the kick quickly. Knighty's time taken at conversions was OTT but within the rules. The time all adds up, especially when it comes to forming scrums. When we were behind we took an eternity to form scrums bar Bowman: When Hunslet went behind, as soon as Frankie knocked on, even though they were out on their feet, they sprinted to form the scrum like their lives depended on it.
Congratulations Hunslet on a much deserved victory and the best of luck in the rest of the competition.
