Anybody catch [iBus 174[/i on BBC2 last night? Recommended on iPlayer by the guy who directed both [iElite Squad[/i films and he's got the [iRobocop[/i remake as well. The opening shots are truly breathtaking.

watched KATYN last night. great Polish film. i didnt find the subtitles distracted in any way.
i always thought i knew most of the katyn story but i learnt quite a bit more from the film.
recommended.

I caught the first half hour of it but fell to kip as I'd had a few shandies.
Looked like the kidnapper had been on the glue-bag.

Will have to catch up with the remainder of it as it looked decent.
Them Rio street kids are a sad testament to the modern world we inhabit.

I like a good martial arts movie now and again so I recorded film 4's IP man , Some great fight scene choreography in it and the same old[i Big guy picks on small guy .. Master sorts them out[/i story but I enjoyed it . I'll give IP man 2 a watch tomorrow. Oh and Lynn Hung is stunning.

Can recommend [iThe Blade[/i if you haven't seen that and if you haven't seen them the two Jackie Chan Drunken Master films are both brilliant.

I'd also recommend a couple of Thai efforts, [iOng Bak[/i and [iWarrior King[/i if you fancy watching martial arts films with a Muay Thai twist.

Finally got round to watching LA Confidential. Damn Blu-Ray gave up just after an hour into it. Reported it as faulty and a replacement to be sent out - gutted as I was really enjoying it!

Went to see Avengers with the kids on Sunday. It was very enjoyable. Lots of humour, not too serious, the kids laughed out loud a few times. They do look a bit silly, but plenty of shots of Scarlett Johansson's rear to keep things grounded in reality


They even managed to shoehorn in one of cinema's most anticipted comic book moments - too much excitement for a comic collector like myself.
Good job by Joss Whedon.

Started to watch Bad teacher. It was horrible and turned off after 10 mins.

Really enjoyed Cedar Rapids and really looking forward to finally seeing Avengers today.

Not normally a fan of superhero films but Avengers was fecking brilliant

Didn't make the mistake of taking itself too seriously and there were a lot of genuine laugh out loud moments. Big fan of Joss Whedon so good to see him working on a big film.

Saw Avengers and it was good. Started a bit slowly but the end part was great viewing.

Also saw the new American Pie movie. Not so good with occasional laughs.

American Reunion IMO was the best of the lot. Lots of laughs and silliness

The Avengers is one of the best Hollywood blockbusters I've seen in quite a while.

American Pie was the best by a long way. A massive film for most people my age.

All the Marvel related films of late have been decent, with Avengers being the best of the lot so far.

The new Batman is now the next big one and hopefully the best of the lot. New Spiderman will be interesting, though i hated the last one.

I'm 28 and have seen them all through the years. I just thought that i laughed a lot more during Reunion, than i did for the 1st - and they utilised Jim's Dad brilliantly
