But isn't that similar to say money laundering? I could sit at home in the UK and with the use of the Internet launder money through US or any other nations institutions. I would say that my crime would then be under that nations jurisdiction not the UK's. IIRC there have been a few Brits extradited to Italy recently for something similar, yet there has been no such fuss made over their extradition to a foreign country.
I would also disagree that there is a "world of difference" between our responsibility toward a British citizen or any other nations citizen. If a foreign citizen is on British soil then I would suggest they should be protected under the same laws as British citizens.

As i understand it is based on the extradition treaty put in place with the US which means they do not have to provide the evidence but purely say they have committed an offence and they want that person.

I cannot research the details at the minute but it is very similar to that bloke who legally sold batteries etc with the agreement of the British Government to IRAN and then was extradited to the US because it broke their laws.

The US wants him for other offences which are their business, including alleged offences re the setting up of a terrorist training camp in Oregon which, according to Google Maps, is currently not in the UK. A fact it has in common with Mr. Hamza.
