Just wondering what the rules are on defending players holding the belts( not deliberately) of the attacking player while trying to remove their tag. Is this a penalty? or just simply play on.

To my mind, it is the same as holding a shirt or shorts whilst trying to take the tag. Illegal and a penalty should be forthcoming.

It is a penalty - it can happen by accident so if they release straight away i play on.
