1) We were well beaten in all departments unfortunately it has ruined our point difference which is huge in a league of only 7 games we will probably now have to win 4 of the remaining 6 games which is highly unlikely we are just not good enough both in attack and defence
2) Bradford have a great chance of promotion they will be difficult to beat at home Salford Widnes and Halifax still have to travel to the provident stadium on yesterdays form they could easily win 2 of those games and if they beat wakefield on sunday they will be in a excellent position
3) Leigh have proved they can compete against Super League clubs they have beaten Wakefield and Salford in the Challenge Cup and came close to winning against arguably the best team in the middle 8's
4) Halifax played well ok they did not score but they were in contention for most of the game
5) Championship Shield what a boring competiton with 6 games left Doncaster are relegated (they are not going to win their remaining 6 games and improve their point difference) Fev Dewsbury and London have already qualified for the playoffs that just leaves the 2nd relegation spot to provide any interest in this snoozefest i will be interesting to see what sort of attendances these games attract

I'm sure Aston will be assessing his requirements for
next year with a view to making an impact in the middle eights. All the matches will be great learning opportunities.

"Plucky losers" isn't the same as "yay, promotion and releagation are back".

Did we not learn that staying under the radar is the way ahead?



The mood may change on Sunday when our players are on the artificial surface,which is similar to the one planned for our new stadium.

When we lost to Bradford in May we bounced back with 2 wins on the bounce.

It makes it imperative we market the home games and get a crowd to back the players.

We can go to Widnes with confidence after Halifax kept them scoreless for so long.



We may have to win at Leigh now to make up for the loss.



Letting the ball bounce,as at Bradford,must NOT be allowed to happen on the Widnes surface.

It would be nice for the players to give our supporters a more pleasant,'Homeward Bound' experience by getting the 2 points.
