Here are the basic permutations, assuming both us and Leigh win (which we should).

Leigh will finish 2nd.

If Batley beat Halifax, Batley will finish 3rd, Fax 4th and us 5th, meaning we'll be travelling to The Shay in the first round of the playoffs.

If Halifax beat Batley, Fax will finish 3rd, us 4th and Batley 5th, meaning we'll host Batley in the first round of the playoffs.

If it's a draw we'll travel to Batley.

I'm hoping for a Fax win.

And - yes - I think we can win it from fifth, if that's where we finish.

I didn't say I was scared, nor that I don't think we can beat them, I'd rather have a home tie than an away one though, against a team we've beaten twice this season rather than one we've lost to three times.

Gaining enough finance to be able to continue is the only thing that this league is about,You can't go up,You win a trophy,The end,The way it is with no promotion makes the whole league pretty pointless IMO,Especially with the rubbish coming up next year,add to that Hunslet,Swinton and York,It is very predictable year on year,Crowds will not increase but deteriate all across the league if the current structure carries on.

Not vintage but we'll take it. Fax came from 6-20 to win 26-20 so it's Batley at home next week, I'm guessing Premier Sports will pick it in which case it'll be Thursday night.
