| Hello,
I'm making my first visit to Crown Flatt this Friday. Grateful for any recommendations for pubs/social clubs/chippies etc to visit in order to take in an authentic Dewsbury experience. My journey starts at the Navigation Inn in Mirfield at 1700, but after that....over to you.
For example - Is there anything to see at the Little Saddle Inn, given that it's the pub where DRLFC was founded?
Any other good pubs with a decent pint of ale?
How best to get to the ground from the town centre?
Is there any trace of the old ground, and which road is it on? (or was t'new ground built over top of th'old?)
Where's the best chippie? Any local specialities worth trying?
Basically, if Stevo was running guided tours of Dewsbury, where would he go ? !
Thanks all!
