| Not to be.
Well done to Leeds and good luck in the next round of the playoffs.
We haven't really be good enough since the first whistle of the season to be honest.

| I have calmed down a bit and watched the post match press conferences now.
Interesting comments by the coach on the fact the referee shared a flight over and back with the Rhinos. Was very careful not to say it was something he felt had influenced the result, but was happy to leave it out there.
For me it was a nice deflection away from the fact that our big name players had, again, not being able to keep their heads in a big game.
That's a cutural issue for me. Successive coaching teams and groups of players have not been able to consistently manage this.

Seriously, when there were plenty of flights from Manchester and surrounding airports the officials went on a Friday and came back Sunday, nowadays and I may be wrong here but weren't Catalans the first to charter a flight and fly there and back in the day?, however most teams do it now so surely even allowing for his disappointment of losing at home he can see the logic in putting them on the same flight and helping with the costs to the traveling clubs, not a very respectful remark to make from somebody who should know better really.

Well done Jimmy , the last two sentences sum up the reasons for your defeat

I agree that in these times it makes absolute sense. But flip it on its head. Would Leeds have been happy if Dragons had travelled with Thierry Alibert for a Headingley playoff ? I would suggest not.

As he was the only French ref in super league I take your point and can see why you used him as an example, but perhaps uncle Albert is not the best ref to use as a comparison, as a Wakey fan I can remember quite a few bloomers committed by him against us the most memorable one being against Warrington at their place where we were leading near the end and Wire scored a try on the 7th tackle to win the game, incompetent or too excitable not really sure
