Just a point about Henderson-what a top player. 46 tackles 0 missed in those conditions, i'd love to see the state of a Rugby Yawnion forward after an effort like that.

Henderson is quality....loved him at bradford. A real quality signing for you guys. I think the weather conditions helped us out a lot today....not sure we would have won in the good weather. Poor game but the conditions were against us both

Absolutely right Jonny, funnily enough i was thinking about this last night myself. There were a few people who post on this board who thought hendo wasn't the type of player we should be signing, needless to say they aren't saying it now.

Not sure if I was one of those. One thing I hold to though is that with our squad brimming with excess etrangers we had better win something! For example, Blanch has had a really good run, but has cost Vaccari first-team playing time. Both from a French player development and running cost pov I'm not sure it makes sense.
I guess we at least have good etranger mentors in every position which should aid development, it's almost as if the club needs to go through the development we went through with Potter all over again ... wonder why?

Robinson bought very well IMO.
Henderson is a tough player and a real competitor.
Menzies never gives up either.
Farrar has always been under rated because he is small, but he had a brilliant junior career and has always been a real talent.
Dureau had a fantastic education under all the people who made Johns great, and then under Johns himself. He also had an amazing junior career that included winning an under 18s grandfinal and a minor premiership in the under 20s - probably had about an 80% win rate during his junior career.
Blanch doesn't seem such a good signing - he is a good finisher, but he doesn't seem to have much to add to the squad apart from his individual talent. All the others seem to have a lot of RL knowledge to pass on.

You don't mention all the other etrangers in the squad, for example buying another centre from Wakey, keeping Sa instead of selling him, Paea (spelling?) and I think I'm missing one. Of those only Paea is essential to the squad, do we have the cash to afford 3 superfluous first-teamers to increase competition?
