The thing that's annoyed me about Super League this season is the number of sides - Catalans included - who play what is effectively an extra forward at stand-off. The teams that are worth watching - Huddersfield, Warrington, Hull KR before our Mike got crocked, Cas to a lesser extent - play with two genuine halves. Too much creativity is never a problem.

Its been going on for years, and its hardly a massive problem to mark both IMO. The problems arise when you have one on each side of the field for big fringe runners to run at when the opposition have the ball.

That and more often than not, the fullback is going to link up and play as an extra creative player anyway.

Maybe visits to and from will become less daunting now you are showing signs that you have a good coach in charge with a good player in the halves, both of which are really useful when trying to win games?
