So the new structure for RL will have relegation and promotion and a mid season split.
The interesting thing for fans of so-called expansion clubs is that the relegation immunity would be removed.
Actually (after listening to Dave Woods on the Forty20 podcast) it seems workable and a good idea to promote the game.

A link has to be made between the lower leagues and SL, no doubt for me. This split ain't the answer though.
