I am hoping a few of you are joining in the RLFANS.com prediction game for this season.
Whilst I am not giving away my scores I am happy to say what I think will happen
Week1
This looks a pretty standard week with a fair few no brainers to choose from .
I think Leeds will beat Hull quite comfortably despite the hype surrounding Gareth Ellis.
Despite some renewed optimism now that they have been taken over I suspect Salford wont have enough to beat Wigan. Its players the Reds need now, not hope.
I am pitching Saints vs Huddersfield as a close one with only 4 points to split them. The Giants always start a season well and will be wanting to put one on Nathan Brown after it all ended in tears for him there last season.
Saints will be one of the favourites for the league so a good start is crucial for them and I think they will get it...just.
I see Bradford vs Wakefield as a straightforward home win. Trinity will have their time this season, but not against a rejuvinated Bulls.
I am tipping Hull KR to narrowly defeat Catalans. It was a brilliant game last season which was settled by the video ref (and Clint Greenshields). A pre-season defeat to London Broncos shows their is plenty of work for us to do so no expectations from me for early season.
The Broncos on the other hand I see coming fast out of the traps, they will have too much for Widnes who need to wait for their star man to get fitness a bit later in the campaign.
Finally Warrington against Castleford which is about as certain a home win as you could imagine.
Let's see how I do
