Just beem announced that Jake Webster will be joining Castelford. He's been a good player, just a shame that he spent so much time injured, im sure everyone will wish him all the best for the future, except against us of course.

Shenton on his inside with Webster running at the winger would be a leathal combo - but looks like he will replace Griffin.

I haven't heard any official announcements but yeh, its a pity, but his hip injury is a gamble Rovers weren't willing to take on.

By all accounts Jake has been training this week, so maybe he might make the team sheet against Warrington?

Loves a bit of magic sponge action too much for my liking. A very good player when fully fit and up for it. Scored some great trues for us and put on some massive shots in defence.

On Humberside this morning it said that any decision on the futures of Jake Webster and Joel Clinton was being held up due to the suspension of their agent in Australia, at lunchtime Humberside report that Jake is off to Castleford ????????? As no official confirmation from HKR yet it's probably Humberside putting two and two together again and making twenty two.

Even without official confirmation, it looks like the end of the road for Jake as far as East Hull is concerned. On his day, he has been a good centre, but his days have been few and far between recently. He's made of biscuits.

Your probably right but if rumours are true that we are signing Gleeson then it doesn't really fill me with confidence that we are trying to improve the team.

If Jake has signed for Cas and was announced by BBC Humberside then I would of expected it to be on the BBC website by now.

His agent is the one and only David Riolo, Suspended for deal with NRL not for dealing with SL.
He was here for the magic weekend and has said hes come over to discuss options for Jake Webster and Joel Clinton- at the time he said no offer has been made by the club to renew the contracts, he then hinted Webbo will be looking elsewhere; but didnt mention Clinton (IMO id offer him massively reduced terms and take it or leave it)

Thats where i heard it, i was sat at my desk with the radio on, listening to news at 1pm when i heard them clearly say, Hull kingston Rovers jake Webster will be joining Castleford.
So either someone at the club is slow to confirm on the official website or radio Humberside have completely messed up and got it wrong.
Actualy, isn't it possible to listen to earlier recordings of todays radio news and sport reports.?

A fair player for us on the odd occassion he's played but definitely the right move getting rid I reckon.

Couldn't agree more mate. When a player looks to have taken a knock after nearly every tackle that he makes or takes, you know there's something wrong.

True, it was a shockingly bad decsion to extend his contract.

Excellent player on his day, shame he doesn't have too many days (often down to injuries). IF he can stay fit and play regularly for Cas, he may turn out to be a very shrewd signing, who could be up there with the top try scorers next year. But, as has already been mentioned, this is unlikely.

Webbo is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet and it won't be the same playing against him next season I truly hope he goes on to be a success at cas

I don't. I hope Cas end up with the same biscuit boned player we've had to put up with for the last 4/5 years.

He's not been that bad Mr. Bill, MR looked up his stats t'other day and he's made about ninety seven appearances.

Admittedly, he's required the trainer on two hundred and ninety one times during those appearances.
