me im ticking off all the bands i need to see ive seen ian brown but the want to see the roses and im going to welly to see shaun ryder as i havent seen the happy mondays since elland road in 1990

Come on, this happens every year (and Lammykin Snuffhustler will be along to merge this into "Chat" shortly) and although there does seem to be a bit more substance to this, if it does happen it will be inevitably terrible.

I'd rather see John Squire resurrect The Seahorses rather than, an inevitable failure of a '3rd coming' album!

Squire has a life in art now, I still refuse to believe he will change that now.

come on sandra cheer up i saw the specials the other night it was excellent there only doing it for the money just singing every song off there 2 albums but i will say the roses will be either the best concert ever or an absolute disaster

Yes, I did think as I was hitting submit that I was being a bit of a misery.

It's probably because when I was out and about from late teens to mid twenties I was always morbidly afraid of the bloke who was still on the groove train well into their forties. Now, that would be me!

I'm not, I'm just saying John Squire should never have jacked The Seahorses in after one album when they were bloody fantastic with a lead singer Chris Helme who had a voice Ian Brown could only dream of. Of course The Stone Roses enjoyed more success, Brown and Squire churned out some belters with very strong lyrics.
Although I'd give my left sack to see The Roses live, they shouldn't reform, it's gone and belongs to a different era unfortunately. I'll just continue to enjoy the genious of that first album and bits of the second.

you do have a point it was funny seeing 3000 late thirty early forties men jumping about i do scrape into the late thirties bracket but my legs had gone and i was just stood there and my mate put his back out

They play Stone Roses at weddings now. Have a dance then for the amusement of your nieces and nephews. It's time to check out the bride's mum instead of the bridesmaid.

maybe your right i didnt like the seahorses much the roses first album was that good it was never going to be bettered i would hate them to reform and it was a disaster

it was for the first hour then i was getting tired id taken the kids swimming in the morning so was worn out

i do remember when i could go out all day saturday and sat night get in at 4 get up at 12 go straight out to pub then rugby then pub go home get up for work next day now its go out sat night (rarely) and look forward to getting something to eat on the way home then die until tuesday
