As most of our ex-players get! He was probably our longest serving player, he tried hard but just wasn't going to get in front of our other back rowers. Nice to see him do well but hopefully he won't score like any of your other players too!!!

The move to Wakey has done him the world of good imo he's looked impressive almost every time ive seen him this season big unit with pace and decent in defence, would he be welcomed back at rovers if Wakey don't get in next year? Id take him at Hull.

If he came back i'd support him fully I have always liked how the tank plays. I just do not think he'd get a game under our current coach and he's best off finding a similar club to Wakey if they do go down.

having seen marianos mother talking to my mate in a east hull pub,she stated he would come back to rovers anytime but not while morgan was there so that speaks for itself,and who knows he might get his wish sooner than later

Andy Ellis has said exactly the same. Even when he was offered terms before he went to Quins.

He is now a Wakey player, so no I won't SUPPORT him, but I would not abuse him either.

If we're aspiring to the likes of mariano and ellis then we're in worse shape than i thought. They were both let go and rightly so. We may be =#FF0000Edit-RW at the moment but the likes of those two would not make us any better hence them being at quins and wakey and not wire or wigan.

IMHO Mariano has suffered from being at HKR from such a young age. With his raw talent i just wonder how good he could have been by now had he been at a big club with better coaching, rather than the ramshackle YD program Rovers had in previous years.

That said he's grabbed his opportunity with both hands at Wakey and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he made the England Knights squad this year. I'd have him back at Rovers in a heartbeat especially if he brought his current coach with him

Frankie has done very well for us so far. He is excellent with ball in hand and he has good pace for a big lad. If he does has a weakness it is his tackling because he does miss too many tackles but he can also put a big hit in (ask Richie Mathers from the cup game).

Yes i am, its the classic bigging up of players who werent good enough. Netherton is defensively miles ahead of mariano and as we're defensively woeful he is the better option.
Still i suppose that doesnt fit in with the scapegoat culture some adopt, similar to the ben cockayne best player in the world mentality.

Netherton being 'defensively miles ahead of mariano' hasn't affected our defence a jot as YOU have just confirmed.

But maybe there just isnt enough 'make no yards but can tackle' type players in the squad.
So how many do we need 3?, 4?, 5?.
Should we get Iain Morrison back if Nethertons 'uber defensive' skill's isn't actually enough to make any diffrence at all on his own.

Or perhaps using a defensive mind set everytime we take the field is the wrong idea, Perhaps (I know its 'out there' but bare with me) we should actually look to get at teams instead of just playing an easily readable and easily defused safety first game plan that became outdated years ago.

Watch how other teams play none of them play such a defensive, boring and negative game plan.

Netherton should be a SQUAD player and nothing more Mariano actually creates points/tries (Remember them?)and in the way we have been playing recently that would have made a hell of a lot more diffrence that Mr 'Can tackle' who has actually made ZERO difference.

I'd tend to agree with that, I put him in my dream team (which is failing) and he's earned me more points than the more expensive guys.
