HDM carried an advert on Saturday and again last night claiming that the game will be shown live. My understanding is that, bar illegal streaming its impossible to see the game here in the UK.

Anyone shed any light? Are said pubs misleading us, or are they genuinely getting access? I suppose they could just be naive and thinking that, having shown it last season, they can just do it again.

Canal+ no longer have the rights to catalans games they are now on orange tv which is a french cable tv channel which isn't accessible with any dish in the uk.

I haven't seen a single catalans home game on any of the p2p sites this season either.

I believe all Catalans games are shown live in France on tv. It will be broadcast via a satelite link which a lot of pubs have but not available to the general public unless you have an all singing all dancing satelite set up where you can swivel the dish to get the signal.

It was due to be shown in the ship, down Ann watson street and another pub on Beverley Rd, both owned by the same person.
However he has now had to withdraw the advert because they are not going to be able to access the the french tv station, something to do with the encrypted signal or something.
Will just have to listen to the radio i'm afraid

In Mondays paper they where 2/3 pubs advertising the game.

Thats because the print schedule had already gone through he didn,t find out himself untill Tuesday morning which was to late to have the advert withdrawn in time for the Tuesday edition.
The whole situation is a shame realy as he had been innundated with calls from Rovers fans wishing to see the game, we went down to the ship inn last year, to watch the game against Catalans and the atmosphere in there was brilliant.

You can't get the game in the UK. It is mainly a cable channel but is also on sat but not available to people in the UK due to subscription.

For those looking on P2p and havent found catalan games your not looking in the right place.

I would hate to be the guy running the pub on saturday when a huge amount come in waiting for the game.

Be funny if he just stuck on a DVD of last year's game there and hoped no-one would notice.

I doubt they will, as most people who saw the advert will more than likely have found out by then, and probably in the same way you have, e.g, either by word of mouth or from the web forum, that the game will not be screened live at the pubs in question.

I don't it to be on TV; we've lost the last 4 times we've been on TV

just been on myp2p and go in to live tv then sports and orange sports is on there so hopefully they might show the match
