Warrington created history by beating the Catalans Dragons in Barcelona in the first-ever Super League game to be played in Spain.

The historic match drew a crowd of 18,150 to the city's Olympic Stadium, with over 2,000 French fans making the two-hour trip over the border and they contributed to an excellent atmosphere.

My guess is Warrington didn't take 16,000 fans so is this an indication S/L could take off in Spain.I'd rather push it there than R/U Scotland.

Stated on boots and all 12,000 Catalans fans 2,000 Wire thats 4,000 locally hopefully they will have more teams going over there next year us rovers and wigan maybe?

They'll go for the teams who bring the most away support so that will rule rovers out.

On the face of it , a sucessful event.

It would appear that the game seized upon the Catalan identity pretty well.

Why would 12,000 Les Cats fans travel to Barcelona but only 8,000 travel down the road every other week?

And why would 2000 warry fans travel to Spain but only 500 come to Hull when there's pickpockets, thieves and muggers in Barcelona?
