| Good news and keeps the prospect of a closer comp.
I feel we need a few new signings and a few departures though im sure we have ample room for manouvre within the present system?

They are still quality impact players, Mikali has still got a few years left at SL, Stan might have to drop to extend his playing career.

| Depends how patient your coach is really. Makka has never been able to be involved in set plays while Stan doesnt train too much.
Give Makka the ball and he'll run into anything you put in front of him even an artic! Stan will always play at 100% and give you everything but sometime in his career that just wont be enough.
Hope both of them have great careers after they finish playing they deserve it for the passion and commitment they've given to this game.

whilst I still think Gene is good enough, he has to avoid the 'Dean Windass syndrome' where his final year is remembered for barely playing and then having a uninspiring cameo at some lower league club. I.E it'd be good for him to finish his career at SL level and be remembered for being an RL legend and not some has been who's gone on too long.

Had another great game last night, bagged 5 trys now in 2 games and deserved his MOTM award.
By the way it was also a fantastic game last night, a real joy to watch. I also thought Jon Steel had a very good game.

Agree 100% bud. In a dream situation his final RL match in England would be a winning Grand Final for Rovers, the club he started and finished his career in England with.
If he does decide to carry on elsewhere though, best of luck to him. Absolute legend (same goes for Makka too). ![CLAP eusa_clap.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_clap.gif)

Do you always talk so much crap?
I have tip sheets at home with scrum plays, ruck plays and tap plays all including Makka in them.
Or did you mean 'setting the table plays'? I have heard he cant lay a knife and fork in the right way ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

| Why is it that every time a former Rovers player has an OK game, people start to ask "what do you reckon, should we take a chance" NO NO NO, Why do we want to go backwards, these players wern't good enough for Super League then, and playing in NL1 isn't going to change that ![Confused icon_confused.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_confused.gif)

I have known & watched him play from a youngster through the accademy/national conferance & into our first team, & I think Justin was wrong not to give him a go after promotion. I would bet it was the salary cap that was the deciding factor. But he is a far better hooker than Kirk Netherton who would still be with us if he had wanted to be. As I have posted recently he has a couple years more experiance now, shows a lot of leadership at 9 for Barrow. Biased but I think he & a few other young men in the national leagues would do well in supper league given a full time enviroment.

Oh my god
Try watching them both when they are clipped up on Sports Perfomer and then come back and defend that argument!!
