I am after joining a gym, mainly for some cardio and light weights, but I dont want a direct debit scheme like jjb, has anyone got any ideas of a decent gym and how much are they a week/session.

Muscle World at top of Telford Street on Holderness Road. On two floors, plenty of weights benches/machines + a fitness area. £2.50 per session or £5 for the week (is open 7 days), and no contracts, direct debit etc.

yeah its a no thrills gym for people who are there to train and don’t pose all day, plus gray (the owner) is a good guy

Muscle World is the most steroid infused junk house in Hull. I live practically next door to it and people come out and smash your cars in a steroid infused rage and don't stop screaming til 3am when the police take em away. Avoid Muscle World.

I was being a bit OTT there, but really, it is a pretty bad gym full of steroid pumped posers. Same with Sutton.

Unfortunately if you want a good gym you actually have to pay to join a gym direct debit scheme. Unless you go to Hull Uni gym (I think you don't have to be a uni student to go there, unsure), but thats in West Hull..

i must admit as someone who has been going to muscle world for a long time (up untill last year) steroids r in full use with some of the lads, however for trainnig tips and plans they are some of the best lads about.
i have been to most gyms in east hull. peak, council run, jjb, cannons, david lloyds, but to me if you wanna get fit and do some weights you wanna be around people who know how to train, not some over weight lad/lass who will give u a generic plan.

isnt there one at soccer sens? dont know whats its like though!

Soccer sens near CP you can pay DD weekly or yearly top gym good clientel too
