I will come clean and admit that i'm a FC fan.Now that is out of the way here is my post.I work with two warrington fans and they told me two weeks ago that Briers is off to Barrow and that Monaghan has been told to look for another club.They alledge that Warrington are going to make a bid for Dobson.Has anyone heared this also.This is not a pi$$ take but a genuine post.

I speak to many Warrington fans on a daily basis, and they were all in unison about how they'd love Dobson in their side.

Now, I think that's as far as it goes.

I can't see it, but if it did, I could see us beating Hull Fc to yet another aussie scrum half signature.

Warrington are linked with virtually every player coming to the end of their contract (or not). Whilst Monaghan will almost certainly leave Warrington at the end of the season, why would Dobson leave Rovers? Apart from the brown paper envelopes stuffed with cash, six figure salary for his missus to do a part time admin job at the club, and a Simon Moran-funded credit card account. Can't see it.

I'm resigned to it.

I don't know anything concrete, but I suggested a week ago on these forums that I thought WIRE and HULL FC would be in the market for Orford if he was looking to come to the UK. Stands to reason if you look around that position around SL, out of the clubs wanting him, those two are the only ones able to match the wage demands I would have thought.

I think most clubs would be happy to see Dobson in their side and the sooner we sign him to a 4 year contract the happier i'll be!

I thought that too. But apparently its a 1 1/2 year deal with a one year option.

TBH i would think there are many Super League clubs who would pay a kings ransom to have Dobson guiding their team round the field. I suppose already having him signed up is half the battle.

Lets hope his talks with Rovers to extend his contract are as succesful as Fox and Newton's were. The main priority is to get the majority of this seasons team on to long term contracts.

I would have thought, barring an aussie bid coming in the only other club that may tempt him would be saints.

If the contract is 1 1/2 with an option for the 2nd, then who's is the option, ours or his, because if its a mutual thing then its surely just a 1 1/2 year contract.

Hopefully we'll get him on a further 3 years and end the speculation.

Even if he signs a contract we could just pay a transfer fee.

He'll stay at Hull Kr imo but he'd be daft himself not to look round at what other clubs could offer him. The form he's in at the moment means he could warrent a huge deal soemwhere else but i'd think you guys could afford to match most offers.

It''ll be good for the game if he stays at your place allowing you to carry on building a side around him.

The Club and the team are work in progress at the moment.

With things progressing nicely both off and on the field, and the strong words of player bonding I would be surprised if the creams of the crop have too much of an issue staying to complete the job

I think he'll stay at Hull KR. He has been quality already this season and i'm sure i read somewhere that he wanted a new contract with KR.

He was quoted as saying he wanted to stay and that he would not play for another SL club but Rovers, so his options might be another crack at NRL. I hope he stays as he is only going to get better and he is already excellent, but if he goes we move on and bring in someone else.

Indeed. let us hope he doesn't move on... but the club is in a much better position in every way now.
